a few to follow..ascot..sat 31/12

elusive image..brushed near the 50m..got home well runner-up..
ladysea..impeded near the 150m..ran on well for 3rd..
fleming son..bumped shortly after the start..held up near the 250m..held tight & bumped near the100m..got home well for 3rd..
caves road..bumped near the 1000m..got home well for 1st..

Ranger to head east. Expected to race first-up in the Carlyon Cup at Caulfield Feb 11. Longer-term goal the Australian Cup.

Generally speaking, Ranger hasn't lived up to expectations imo. Wonder what a change in scenery will do?

..part of the reason for ranger heading east is to escape the harsher local handicapping

a few to follow..ascot..sat 28/1

silk force reared on jumping & lost ground..raced wide on straightening..lay inwards approaching the 100m..ran on well for 3rd
mighty rossa raced in restricted room near the 500m..lay inwards over the final 100m..shifted ground quickly over the final stages..ran on well for 3rd
head for heights commenced slowly..over-raced in the middle stages..approaching the 800m got its head in the air & steadied..shifted outwards & made heavy contact with another runner..bumped at the 700m..got home well close 4th
