If you reckon Chenille Prince’s run was full of merit then you would have to concede that Black Tom’s run was as good if not better. Gave Chenille Prince a start and a beating! 2nd last on the turn beaten only 1.75L. Was the run of the race outside the winner (Master Minx) for mine. Agree Chenille Prince also a good run.

MAPPERHOLIC
Notice that MAPPERHOLIC is listed as a late entry for the Railway (earlier post). Not surprised given his run on Saturday but obviously connections were not that confident at the start of this campaign! Good vibes!

Read an article the other day re the breeding of some of the guineas runners and was a little surprised to learn that Manjar and Snacking are both bred to be stayers and that they should go better at distances further than 1600m. Snacking in particular should be suited by the 2400 as her sire and dam-sire have both sired WA Derby winners. With this in mind (and the considerable amount of interference suffered by a number of runners in the guineas) I’ve dismissed their seemingly disappointing runs on Saturday and look forward to their performances over more ground.

Ellicorsam
Not surprising but now official, Ellicorsam is a definite non-starter for the 2005 Railway Stakes.
