I was actually surprised he did so well yesterday considering his very hard first-up run! Was a promising type when last in work (albeit some time back) so good to see him returning to some form.

A few racing wednesday that have been mentioned on this thread past few weeks. Namely Zoometric, Creole Spice, Hello Doctor, Dee Picked, Tip The Angel, Metal Dancer, Buttonhole and Young Paddy.

Hopefully not missed anything.

Default Mapperholic

Promising effort by Mapperholic in the Lee Steere on Saturday. Having just his 2nd start since April 2004 ran on very well to finish 5th. Mapperholic you might remember finished 3rd in the 2003 Railway Stakes and looks on track for another tilt same race next month.

Default AVENIDA MADERO

Won’t be rushing out to back AVENIDA MADERO in the Railway or in particular the Fruit N Veg. One start over the 1600 unplaced. Gone no further. Admit she looks to be stronger this time around but history does suggest you need to be able to run a good 1800 to win the Railway and as for the Fruit N Veg 1800 imo will be beyond her if she starts.

Been hanging out for Buttonhole to have her next start. The 1600 on Wed should suit ideally.

Default Lark Hill trials

The speedy Flying Johnson ran the fastest time over 900m to win the last heat of the Lark Hill trials today. However the 2nd placegetter Criminal Intent was the one that caught the eye, not extended to finish 1 length behind the winner. Criminal Intent was having his first hit-out since finishing unplaced at Flemington back in July. Prior to that ran 2nd in a C6 at Werribee and has also won at Sandown.
