But the really big news for Chelsea fans is that their skipper John Terry has signed a new 5-year deal that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2013-14 season. Terry, 28, who has been at Chelsea since he was 14, turned down 3 approaches to join Manchester City in the off-season.

Hasn't John Terry been a busy boy! Has captained England to the World Cup Finals in South Africa. Eight wins out of eight and a top of the group table status. Other Chelsea players in the England side include Frank Lampard, who scored 2 goals for England in their game against Croatia & Ashley Coe.

Now 5 on the trot for Chelsea after their 2-1 win away to Stoke City on the weekend. Clear leaders following Spurs loss to Manchester United.
