Lightbulb Buttonhole

Buttonhole was actually nominated for 2 races Wed. Assume the better race (i.e. best chance of winning) has been chosen by connections

KENTUCKY LEGEND would have to be a good chance based on his 3rd yesterday behind GREAT BEAU and TRUCK TALK!

Be surprised if she faced the starter considering the hard run she had yesterday

So did she run in the trial today or not? For some reason can't get on the website to check!

Thumbs up Mav's little blackbook

Some good runs from Ascot Sat included Major Key (R3) slow start pelted home; Sheihallion (R4) didn't settle early, checked 700m still ran on ok; Modaney (R5) slow start, held up between 200m & 50m; For Shame (R6) slow start checked 550m just warming up last bit; Moondalo (R7) wide throughout but still ran on well.

Funny thing! Since the 'Paddy days' I often have a flutter on irish-related named horses (if I think they also have some genuine chance). From memory Paddy did pretty well with his irish stable in one of the comps that was running on this forum some time back. SO, YEP I did have a wager on Young Paddy in the last at Mt Barker Sunday. Had ok form fresh looking at previous starts, so that was enough for me
