The lightly raced Spin Silver has returned from a spell in fine fettle. He was very impressive leading all the way in his heat and won with plenty in reserve. Should measure up to city class.

Spin Silver!?? Never heard of it...but I'll look it up and jot it down for future ref

Well I'm starting to think Paul's suffering a bad case of BO! A quick glance show's he has only 5 rides on an 8 race program? Best is probably Manjar in the Fairetha.

You tell him grey sapphire! I was still winning on a horse called Grecian Vale (or something like that) going back a bit. From memory still winning in the city at 11 or 12 years young

Smile The Fighting Tigress

Contrary to rumours trainer David Mueller has confirmed that a Railway Stakes start for Miss Andretti is not on the cards AT LEAST FOR THIS YEAR.

Although a 5YO The Fighting Tigress is very lightly raced and the trainer doesn’t think she would get to the mile in top class at this stage.

As a matter of interest if you take a close look at Miss Andretti’s bloodlines apart from her grandad Royal Academy she’s actually bred to be more of a stayer than a sprinter!

and I don't disagree with David Mueller one bit for ignoring the Railway Stakes for the tigress. Look how Elli was going this time last year and then how she performed in the Railway.

Royal Fire raced with moderate success over east in 2004 and returned to Perth early this year. Didn’t really fire (excuse the pun ) but has since been spelled and gelded (ouch!)

The runner-up to Royal Fire's in the trial is no slouch either - Great Nation, a winner of 8 from 11 who at his last start back in July won the listed Beaufine stakes beating Arctic Park.

Race 4 Ascot tomorow.
