Super 15 week 4
After writing how close my predictions had been, along came week 3 when the heavily favoured Crusaders and Bulls both lost. A photo of Sonny Bill Williams playing against the Crusaders seemed wrong, somehow.
There is an oddity with the computer rankings. The Brumbies are last even though they won both games. Last year, they were towards the bottom. In both matches this year, they were favoured. Since they won by less than predicted, their ratings dropped after each win. So, there they are, at the bottom with the two teams they beat less than a point above them. Good luck with Week 4. Super 15 week 5
I thought we had a good value bet with the Hurricanes last week but they gave up a late penalty kick to lose to the visiting Highlanders by 2. Home teams have been outscored by the visitors so far, which was the source of upsets. That is odd after the first two weeks went about as expected. The home team usually outscores the visitors by 4 in domestic matches and 5 in international matches.
Good luck with week 5 Ray Stefani |
