Staking
I want to make $10 a day and stopping after a winner. I need an excel formula to help me. The loses are added to work out the next stake.

The best way i can think of to understand how you are betting, is to show your actual sequence of a day or 2 betting activities.
For example. BET 1. Odds. Bet Units. Win yes/no, if win what did it pay, return. BET 2. ,,.......... etc. From then on i am sure some form of a basic architecture may fruit. Other things you may include is betting bank size. That way if you are on a looking streak, the sums and excel formula can be implemented to. It's basic bookkeeping. |

Hey benny
You said "stopping at a winner" in your initial post and then you showed an example of two winners. Did you mean stopping at $10 profit? |

Ok, so you want the spreadsheet formulas posted here so you then may implement them yourself, or do you want a spreadsheet uploaded with the add and subtract formula already done ?

Nearly there Benny, just some final stuff, but i have a question regarding your posted figures.
You have 2 units @ 1.45, then you have, paid 2.90...no prob there. But then you have profit of 0.90. According to the spreadsheet calculations, on bet 1, it's profit of 3.80 If the initial bank was 100, less 2 bet amount, leaves 98.00 It paid 2.90, @ 2 units = 5.80 98.00 + 5.80 = new bank balance of 103.80 Where does the 0.90 figure ? |

Ok, this is just a basic add-subtract sheet.
Not sure if this is what you had in mind, to add the next row, just klik and drag, it should copy the formula. All you need to do is fill in the prices, units as per your betting. The format is for hedge bets/total unit amounts to, but it can work with 1 selection also. BTW, if you re-post a spreadsheet, I only have office 2003- my other pc is,not working with the later office versions. Last edited by Puntz : 11th March 2013 at 02:26 AM. |
