First 3 Favs Plan
Heres an old plan that may interest some.
Target the 3 Favs in the pre-post newspaper market. After scratchings. If 1st Fav is $3.50+ in pre-post ,it becomes a bet. If Not. Go to 2nd Fav , must be $4.50+ If Not. Go to 3rd Fav, must be $5.50+ If non qualify , no bet . If there are 2+ sharing the same price line once you get to that particular stage , No Bet Race. e.g. 1st Fav might be $2.50 , 2nd Fav might be $4.00, 3rd Fav may have 2+ contenders @ $5.50+ after scatchings. No Bet Race. e.g. 1st Fav might be $2.560, 2nd Fav $4.50+ (we bet this) ,3rd Fav may have 2+ contenders @ $5.50+ ....This is a bettable race. Stop at first winner for each venue. This pulls some very good prices on its day. Level stakes betting $1.00 fo every $60.00 bank. Try it out on some past results before betting any real money on it. Cheers.

Hey Bhagwan,
Do you know if there is a newspaper with the form guide that is accessable on line ? I dont mind buying them but they are very messy and time consuming to check things like this out. By the way, trialled two differant aproaches on sat, one lost BIG time (place bets with unitab selections) and the other was up about 30 %, (taking the first two unitab) Dingo |

WA TAB is the only one that I know of & for some reason they delete the prices as each race has started .
These prices come from GTX. It astounds me why online newspapers have a sport section but dont replicate their pre-post markets as shown in their newspapers. They have share market movement info & prices as per newspaper , whats wrong with racing info ? , after all, it is well reported to be a multi million dollar industry also.

Bagman,
Newspapers get paid to include racing info. It does not belong to them to use elsewhere. Melb. Age get $800K a year, mainly for their [full] spring carnival coverage. Basically, racing form guides are advertisements so they can't use them except in the newspaper. |

Darky,
Something to be said for changing that to: 1st 3 FAVS $7 on FAV $10 on 2nd FAV $15 on 3rd Fav 1st, acts as a saver or small loss, reasonable on 2nds. but clean up on 3rd. favorites getting home. |
