Stinking moral was a joke, but i'm pretty confident these horses will run well,
Adelaide Rc 1 - Dzerzhinsky, this exvictorian is a quality galloper who has put together 4 very good efforts in his 4 start career, his first start he was trapped 3 wide searching for the lead the whole way over 1400 for a very close up 3rd behind the smart Kelmania, gee it was a good debut. Jumped at a short quote at his second start when dropping back to 1100, and ran a gallant although little dissapointing 2nd. Since heading up to Adelaide, he's really going well, his first start was a very strong maiden win at Cheltenham, when did plenty of work but was far superior to rivals. His starting price that day was $1.70, though it paid $3.30 on supertab, this was due to a treble before hand that day of Ex Smerdon gallopers entering Jolly's stable, and Dzerz made it a quartet. His last run was probably his best, in a very good field he finished 2.4 lengths behind Aerated who has since won stylishly again. He overraced badly however this day and looked gone 300 out, but really knuckled down nicely and finished the race off well, in the fashion of an above average galloper. He has a year and/or a ********** over most of his rivals here and looks well in after Leckey's all important 2kg claim. @ first starters who have trialled well are Perigule and Tirdlettar, i don't like trial form all that much but to be safe will be having Dzerzhinsky to run second to these 2 gallopers in exactas, the bunch to have raced don't appear good enough.
In race 6 i can't go past Civil, mav has mentioned my only 2 worries in the consistent Maui Boy and Pushing Daisies who was a little unlucky last start and should be suited by extra distance. I will be taking Civil to run second to them 2 as savers as well. I don't think i'll need them however, Civil, looks classes above this field, he has always promised so much and i really think tommorow he'll deliver. Just a little trip down memory lane, about this time last year Civil ran a very unlucky neck 2nd at Mooney Valley to the average sprinter Dandy Kid, that form kills this race and i think he's going better now.
Dzerzhinsky wants it good, Civil wants it slow, but both can adapt well, dead would be perfect.
Anyway i'll be having a red hot crack at these two, so may well need all of your sound advice, if and when they happen to lose.
