I don't have the stats but my expectation would be they perform worse given the trainer is just putting them into the track closest to them. But maybe familiarity does help the horse.
I do find some value in betting a horse that continues to run a distance and is failing ( 6+ races ) as the trainer knows something and its just not clicking for the horse yet. They usually come through for a win eventually. |
