This happens more than one might imagine.
Especially in dog races or when they get tongue tied and go for the last one they remember talking about.
Not every day, but certainly more than one in a thousand 
Reminds me of Ron Papps in Adelaide, he earned the moniker of Pappslotto because he was all over the place and often called the wrong winner or a winner that wasn't even in the finish. This was around the 1990's when he was losing his edge. He got the sack eventually, and it's public news he had some serious problems and addictions. |
