You are right about the
most punter bit.
They are most punters because of their approach to punting.
Sadly, they will be most punters all their lives.
What you have to worry about is the serious punters who lap up any useful info and put it to good use.
Do you know how little it takes to make a winning system a loser?
There used to be a card in the TAB that would tell you the decrease of odds by putting on a certain amount depending on the pool size.
They stopped putting those cards out quick smart. Probably sacked the smart alec who dreamed it up too. Didn't want punters to know too much.
All you need on an ordinary day is an extra two grand to bring the odds of your selection down to a level where your comfortable profit margin disappears. Two grand is nothing, I bet $200 a pop, more people I know bet multiples of that.
I'm not talking about big feature meetings here, just run of the mill 10 to 40 thou win pools, my bread and butter races.
