Big congrats to Barcelona star Lionel Messi who has been recently named Fifa World Footballer of the Year for 2009. Messi had previously been runner-up behind Kaka in 2007 & Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008. Messi becomes the first Argentine to win the award. Messi won from Ronaldo, Xavi, Kaka & Iniesta.
