Speed ratings

Can someone help me in regards to an excel formula to calculate speed and class ratings for greyhound races and turn those ratings into a betting market.

yes - i will help you with some advice.

Don't try it unless you can reliably and freely download the data.

Even with the data you have to have a clear understanding of how you want to manipulate it into some form of rating. What factors do you take into account? How do you weight these factors? How do you combine them into an equation? Is this equation even profitable or does it just give you a decent strike rate?

What you've proposed Benny is a pretty open ended question that makes it sound like you want someone to do the work for you and give you the final product with no research or input yourself.

However I apologise if i've taken your post the wrong way.

Benny, I assume you have these speed & class ratings & wish to convert them into a betting market? If so this link might help, but if as evajb001 suggests, you need someone to do all the work for you, well nice try;)

Sorry if I misinterpreted the question, there are plenty of links around on pricing a market including stugots above. I use a variation of one Shaun posted some time ago and I think there was even a thread that discussed how we put it together if you do some searching.

Google is your friend as well, as I said there are plenty of links around if you go looking :)
