Quick pick betting system ideas ...

Here are a few quick pick betting system ideas worth having a look at imo.

They are for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane city racing:

1. Backing the favourites.

Back favourites with a win strike rate of at least 25% for the win. Never take odds on.

2. Lets win second up.

a) The horse finished 2nd. or 3rd. first up from a spell.
b) It is a bet next start provided it has the limit weight ( lowest) or a kilo above before any apprentice claims.
c) It must be no wider than barrier 7
d) In a reliable pre post market it must be no more than $7.50.

Just checked the Doomben results.

There were 2 bets. Happy Event $2.70 ran 3rd. and Sir Moments, $2.10, was unplaced.

So overall, a very nice winning day at the 3 City tracks combined.

I just ran the favourites system for Friday.

There were 5 wins from 8 picks. Townsville was a big hit!

Profit was $4.90. This does include the favourites that were odds on however.

If you exclude the odds on, there were 3 winners from 4 picks. Profit was even better $5.70.

I like simple plans like this one. Hard to get it wrong!

I did notice however, that some of the winners had run very few races previously - so their win percentage can be misleading.

Favs have been winning a lot of late, or seems so.
