Is anyone interested in Greyhounds on this Forum?

I'm thinking of starting posting Greyhound stuff again.

Does anyone have any interest , or should I just toddle off?

WARRNAMBOOL Race 8

1 TIZA KING $4
6 RAINBOW'S GIFT $5
4 MEPUNGA LEEZA $6
3 ARVO'S GOTCHA $8
5 ARVO'S TWINK $10
8 ANNMALA MAGIC $12
7 CUTTS ROAD $16
2 OCTANE ROSE $20

I have the Favourite at generous Odds , but still the top selection.
I'll take a saver Trifecta for half a Unit
1 - 6,4 - 6,4,3

And Exacta
6,4 - 6,4,1,3 for half a Unit.

Meadows Race 5

This is a race with a short priced fav. not well boxed to start, but with the #8 drawn outside of it, and the #6 pushing out. This is a big opportunity to snare a decent F4 and Tri not to mention wiping out a lot of quaddie takers

Race 5

Box 1st Split Rating Rank
1 $17.76 6
2 $4.86 2
3 $170.94 8
4 $46.84 7
5 $11.72 5
6 $8.25 4
7 $2.96 1
8 $6.03 3
First split odds see the #7 tick under $3.00, if it does lead around that first turn it's be about $1.40 to win.
But as I said before, I don't think in the #8's past races, a dog drawn directly underneath the it has gone onto win.
Hamel will be close to leading and if the #7 has interference will give it a good shot at winning
Split times
1 5.248
2 5.155
3 5.241
4 5.216
5 5.230
6 5.168
7 5.102
8 5.171
Reinforce's how on paper the #7 is a class above this field.

I suggest you have messed up here.
I think it will be in the 1st three at the first turn and goes on and wins safely.

This is a terrible way to analyze races.
The #7 will drift in with the #8 and no harm will be done.

woof43 27th August 2011 07:39 PM

I'm not sure I have messed up but 2.90 odd was available betfair just about the odds to lead

moeee 27th August 2011 07:45 PM

Had every chance and found nothing.
A bit like my wagering over the past couple of months.

Yes I can.
Or it runs second to Strappers Boy.
A Box Trifecta with Mamies Bale will also go mighty close to a collect.

can't see it losing so I go for #2 for the place @$20

woof43 27th August 2011 08:14 PM

Race 7

Box 1st Split Rating Rank
1 $4.79 3
2 $3.84 2
3 $22.42 6
4 $18.94 5
5 $219.78 8
6 $6.99 4
7 $161.29 7
8 $3.58 1
70% of it's races it misses the kick, when it's won its just about led all the way.
1 5.188
2 5.154
3 5.157
4 5.141
5 5.275
6 5.126
7 5.253
8 5.092
there's a big variance in it's split times (std dev) but it can run a good split when it feels like it
yes I like the #8,5 1,2

Actually was a fair margin behind the 3rd placegetter , but was a nice pick all the same.
I figured it as being way out of its class and gave it little chance.
Ran very well.

Except the #6 dog was a rock solid wide/centre runner.

I messed up on this Race.
But trying to presume and anticipate what will happen at the start of a Race is very very difficult talent to acquire.
There are many other Factors that are easier to assess , and that have greater bearing on the result.
