maverick1993 13th August 2006 04:08 PM

Windon couldnt lose today ,,,Bound To and Now Windon ...maybe that Stewart fellow is reading these posts and just trying to irk me ...(did manage a piece of that 1st4 though,,not to shabby) but if i just followed my ratings on the race i'd have won big.....silly boy..

Still a good result today...Circus Maximus a big result ..been waiting for this horse..
Dissapointed with Dellamby ,,but he did finish ok,,,maybe next time..
CafeDiClang was nice aswell..

Hope you had a nice win Chuck on Windon....well done.

maverick1993 20th August 2006 09:22 AM

Nice win on Friday.....a wins a win

A few in the book for today..

Windon ,Lovely Lunacy, TAll Trees, Riceman, Girl Of The West, Naval Seal, Factwina....

all worth a looksy :)

Filante 20th August 2006 09:56 AM

I'm with you Mav - Naval Seal looks particularly well-placed (Race 6 No.4) at Sunny Coast today. Any black figures would be terrific value.

Cheers

Filante

Chuck 20th August 2006 12:36 PM

a few today

flemington
3-11 eskaw
4-3 jeune's edge
5-2 stay all day

taree
4-7 teejay hunter
6-1 national icon
7-1 windon

Mav what are your thoughts on Naval Seal in the 6th at Sunny Coast...obviously should kill these but the $1.20 is hardly tempting...looking for something to beat it - maybe Active Combat or Amaizcay? just that these morals nearly always lose

EDIT: just saw you and filante have mentioned it, wonder if i can get a bit of value with others

maverick1993 20th August 2006 02:02 PM

Hi Chuck....your a brave man but if your keen..Katenian rates 2nd for me . he'll get the soft run on the rails and has the big long straight to catch Naval Seal ..
good luck :)

Chuck 20th August 2006 04:15 PM

flemington
3-11 eskaw - 1st $1.70 & $1.20
4-3 jeune's edge - 1st $4.70 & $1.80
5-2 stay all day - X

taree
4-7 teejay hunter - X
6-1 national icon - X
7-1 windon - 3rd $2.10

a slight win profit

maverick1993 20th August 2006 07:01 PM

Nothing much for me today..backed Windon for the win and Tall trees e/w...
havent seen the races yet..missed a nice place divie on Factwina (sort of glad it didnt win, especially with me not on)..

How did you go Chuck ?? did you take on Naval Seal ?? i see Katenian came 2nd but i havent seen the race yet...wonder if he got close ?

Have much tomorrow on the books....
Might have a look at Your Latest Trick at Wangaratta...
Likes the track and distance ...looks well suited but doubt a price,,,

Chuck 20th August 2006 07:13 PM

i had a pretty good day....took on naval seal with active combat, katenian and amaizcay - unfortuantely didn't work as planned but i'm not worrying as i usually make some cash on those races

Filante 20th August 2006 08:29 PM

Hey Chuck

I agree. $1.40 is not a price to take about horses - either back something else or stay out.

I don't bet Mondays - except public holidays - but there's a few mildly interesting races tomorrow.

There's quite a nice middle distance maiden at Wang race 2 which looks a good contest between 6 Nearctic Crossing and 7 Royal Spur.

The best bets appear to be Wang Race 9 No.1 Bis Vincere, and Muswellbrook Race 2 No.10 Fur's Aflyin'.

Good luck if you have a bet.

Cheers

Filante

I did the same today Chuck and took on "today" at Wanga with Your Latest Trick. ..
thought the fav was vulnerable but that Rawiller bloke is riding to well...

Nice race the last tomorrow in Sydney...i've been on lexington Steel lately but i think this race might be to hard for him...he has improvement though and he'll need to find a couple of lengths.....
proven performers Dress Suit and Oh Oklohama look suited as does Bromide...
Global one ??? Jesters Red ??? looks a good race and they might come or a few ...
Dress Suit on the better surface looks a good bet ....will be on the speed and will give alot of cheek...
Bromide dissapoints to much for me ,,but you have to respect the combo..,,,,Oh Oklohama the one charging home..
Dress suit/ Lexington Steel.....Oh Oklohama/Bromide/Jesters Red/Ollie Vollie

Good luck all :)

Filante 22nd August 2006 07:24 PM

Doomben 23 August 2006

Hey Guys,

Any thought on Doomben tomorrow?

I'm going 5,1 Final Crunch; 6,1 Bit of Magic and 7,3 Pentup.

Cheers

Good Luck all :)

breadman 23rd August 2006 05:40 AM

hi mav

as for stix i havent seen him at all here or on the inside rail forum either. hope he is ok. i know he had a bit of an arguement on here with someone but didnt really worry bout it that much. obviously there was more to it. anyway i thought he was a cool dude for what it is worth.

Three out of three there at $4, $2.8 and $2.4.

maverick1993 23rd August 2006 03:37 PM

Well done Guys ..
Nice win Mick,,9.80 very nice...shame about Langarza who fell in that race..Ollie seems to be ok..

Well Done Filante...you got the treble ...paid $30, not to shabby at all :)

simshmick 23rd August 2006 03:44 PM

damn i didn't even see the race and wasn't aware of the fall. hope all are ok that were involved.

I'll have to start setting a tape as i never get to see any races as im at work during the week and playing footy and baseball on theweekends. monday and tuesdays are the only days i can watch when i work from home and i don't usually have a bet those days (go figure).

guess i must've got lucky with the rose

maverick1993 24th August 2006 11:27 AM

On a mission today after a slack week so far...On potential a very nice place divie but loses on Bold Arrow,Rosimia,Interange ..
Rosimia looked to be travelling and got cut out of it in the straight....Alan was to focused on Crystal Fox to see it,,,..(both should be booked)

Liking a few of Newitts rides today
Aqua Velva, Vicarage Gate and Majestic Point

Lismore a couple that should be at odds
Saskarla and Latin Lover

Fingers Crossed :)

If i have a good day saturday i just might :)

maverick1993 24th August 2006 09:24 PM

Aqua Velva at nice odds today...took on Hachiman today (didnt think he'd lead) Majestic Point no good as was Saskarla (hit a brick wall at the 800m mark again) ..
Alteast going in the right direction today...hoping to finish the week off with a bang..

Tomorrow
Townsville
Gold Tsunami...has a great finish but needs a rider wiith patience and strong hands..Kleise has those and he should be nice odds...

Scone
Xaar Xaar,,,gets a mile back,,,suited on this track and the likely speed..good run last start

Canberra
Cafe Bar,,,,good run last week against a top field...will be hard to catch around here..
Written Habit...becoming costly but drawn better down in the weights and on a track he performs on...(last chance)
Navaho Trail....droping a mile back in class,,,has shown ability,,

Good Luck all :)

crash 25th August 2006 06:57 AM

Steady rain down this way Mav. Canberra might be a little wet. Mornington will be heavy.
Fri.

Scone [good]

R5/6 Campeche
Backmarker with a nice alley stepping up to 1600m. Looking for this distance and a good chance of coming over the top of them late [e/w at odds I hope]

R7/3 Beautiful Dragon
Lone leader in this and in barrier 1 on a constantly turning track [win only].

Townsville [good]

r5/6 On Bail
Only leader again, from barrier 3 with N. Day on board [win only]

crash 25th August 2006 01:59 PM

Campeche $5.70w $1.70p Did the business but others were on to it's big chance here. Straight win bet.

Beautiful Dragon might even start fav., but fair odds. On Bail will be odds-on and not for my money.

crash 25th August 2006 03:07 PM

Beautiful Dragon was starting fav at 3/1 30sec. before the jump. Big late money for spock and the Dragon blew out to 7/1. Spock won.

Grabbed the $2.20 on the Bail as that was more than I thought it would start at and a fairly sure thing. A good day.
