Terrible picks yesterday. sorry. I lost pretty big at Flemington myself. Oh well, we've all been there; a method works great for a spell then suddenly fails big.

Great to see Tycoon Rose win on Sunday,,,,,she really deserved it..
HAve a few for tomorrow i like at Coffs
Sven, Fair Game and Umatick/Friscos Lass..

Thought Umatrick a special if i only knew the jockey ..i expect umatrick will be short...if he is i might have a go at Friscos Lass with the master on board might be better value...good exacta maybe ,, Good timing 3rd..

Sven has been knocking at the door the last 3 ..has got the awkward barrier but he gets back anyway...

Good Luck all

maverick1993 1st August 2006 09:21 PM

Great win By Friscos Lass,,not sure what happened to Umatrick,,
Sven Scratched,,Fair Game will wait till a better track,,ran well though considering..

A few for tomorrow
Eagle Farm
Donaldson,Circus MAximus***
VAl De Roi / Best View/,,Hooker Rd/Echo Gun..i like this race..thought Val de Roi who should be huge odds a good e/w..hit the line well after getting knocked around a bit last start..gets the speed he needs the track suits his style...good trifecta race...best view the top rater..
Sandown
Arrowsweep,Align Of Chaucer/MArwina LAss
Canterbury
Keeping The FAith,Onion

Good Luck all :)

Chuck 2nd August 2006 02:24 PM

just had a win with amerryking in the last at melbourne, and i think The Fangsta in the next at canterbury is good value at $10.00

Great winner! Paid 8-1 here in the U.S. We only got the first 6 Sandown races here, so I don't know how your other selections fared.

Regards,

Glenn

TheAvenger 3rd August 2006 08:46 AM

Surely #7 ZOOKEEPER, will win race 2 at Mornington today. He scratched elsewhere a day or 2 ago, likely for a better or softer spot.

I only get Coff's Harbour and Hawkesbury today here in the U.S.

I don't see much that interests me at Coff's Harbour today, but if D.R. Beasley actually shows up for a single ride there today in R7 on #1 HAVANA WIND, I would include him in my betting.

At Hawkesbury I like The #1 King FLING, and the #3 Lady Zhivago(NZ) in R1 at Hawkesbury. #7 CRACKUP in R2. #10, Plotted in R3. (D. Beadman) R4 has me picking #3, CANNON, (D. Beadman) and the #4, DAMA DE LAGO. Beadman kills the dividends badly, but he gets very good mounts and just cannot be ignored.

Have a great day.

I kinda wish we only got the first couple of racs here to...Arrowsweep (A former Brissie horse) paid very nicely .....but my only winner of the day..
Backed Donaldson (still running) Circus MAximus (3rd) Val De Roi (still running ,,,picked the wrong roughie in this race)..Keeping the FAith (i have no faith at all.)..Onion 3rd (no bet ,,ran well considering i think he needs it dry)
But a nice 12/1 shot in Arrowsweep makes up for it all....a good day..

I like a few today..
Ipswich (not my fav track)
Shinkicking Cowgirl, Merry Peirce.....(thought Beckinsale if in double figures maybe worth an e/w..ran home strongly last start but harder to do on this track)
Coffs
Irish Loup/Designer Cleo,,,Afleeting Liason, Unamico..
I like the cup..
Victory Charm/Extra Dollars/Concitare/Kilcornian/Frisco Model/Mr Gold Fire/Havana Wind
Havana Wind looks the class but just not sure in the wet...thought Frisco Model a big roughie (20's?) should be on the speed with Cold Start and that might be an advantage that time of the day..especially if he can get that outside rail first....been a good horse for me. as has Victory Charm...i'll be on both if the odds are good..

Good Luck all :)

maverick1993 3rd August 2006 04:07 PM

A couple of winners today...Designer Cleo (nice exacta) and Merry peirce (nice trifecta)..
thought Unamico ran well for 3rd and nearly got there on Shinkicking Cowgirl...

Lost the cup,,had a big go at the multis..and a small e/w on Frisos Model..thought Mason should have taken that outside lane on Cold Start and would have won.....I gave Mr Gold Fire a chance after a good run in the wet at the Coast and he ran well,,,maybe just a swimmer..

Hope you all had a good one.. :)

maverick1993 3rd August 2006 10:23 PM

A couple for tomorrow..
Queenybeen
Standabove...a decent sprinter when right...just hasnt delivered lately..i know Joseph had a big opinion of him and even took him to town for a crack..just has to be 80% on the ball to win..
Gunnedah
Underfoot,Never You Mind

Good Luck all :)

frustrating with all of the above placing on Friday...

A few for Sunday
Chevron Island ****(a spesh) ,,been racing well ,,forget the last couple ,,the track suits..
Defecting Playboy...i like him around here,,needs the long straight to wind up and if he's a price i might just take on Hot Symbol

Murwillimbah
Derby Parade
Kalgoolie
MAster Vision
Werribee
Our Boy Kev

also noticed Working Class Man running around in the steeple at Casterton....tough staying type that used to run up here...seems the type that would suit the jumps...worth a looksy

Good Luck all :)

maverick1993 6th August 2006 09:29 AM

Nine Bells in the 3rd at Musselbrook....a friend has made it a sure thing,,,hes usually pretty accurate ,,so worth a look if you get a price..

dave3000 6th August 2006 01:20 PM

sure thing

Nope .....be very careful of Chevron Island at the Sunshine Coast because thats my special........go betfair ;)

Did manage Working Class Man though...so i'm ahead so far...
still like Defecting Playboy ...Hot Symbol/Carolinas Boy 2nd and 3rd...
Derby Parade/Pants man exacta..field for 3rd for the tri....multipe times..
still like our Boy kev and Master Vision...
fingers crossed again..it worked for yesterday ...

maverick1993 6th August 2006 09:05 PM

quiet in here today...

Hope all you betfair boys laid Chevron Island...hoping some good came out of him losing..

An even day..2 winners out of 6....Working Class Man,Master Vision..

the rest thereabouts but just not good enough.....fantastic place divie for Pants Man ..weird in fact.....i should have been on that..oh well...

Some for tomorrow :)
Forbes
Lovel Lunacy
Darwin
Pride Of Archway
Murwillimbah
Soveriegn Spur ,,,great last run..has run some handy races in town and seems to be getting some of that form back...

Also like Bound To at Murwillimbah but cant bring myself to back him with Stewart on board....but if you havnt seen the horror videos of Stewarts past performances and you actually think he can ride then Bound To is a very viable option..

TheAvenger 7th August 2006 10:27 AM

If we were able to bet daily doubles, I would bet on the #1 SUTHERLAND in R1 and the #8 CREAM SHERRY in R2 at Forbes. I don't recall having ever played Forbes however, so take these selections with a grain a salt. I'm betting them EW.

Glenn

Thanks Malua...you must be a place better :) ...because i've been around the money for weeks now but missing the wins...

Nice to get a nice divie like that with Soveriegn Spur....Especially after not Backing Bound To ...serves me right ,,that Stewart fellow just does my head in...backed Lovely Lunacy for the win aswell so i missed out..

Great run by Pride Of Archway in the cup...poor thing was a hundred wide the whole way...usually gets right back ..was hoping he would track Sylvester into it.....not sure Nash got it right..

oh well 1 out of 3 isnt bad,,, :) seems a few of you got on Bound To..so i'm atleast happy someone benifited.

Great tipping mav!!!

maverick1993 7th August 2006 09:28 PM

A couple for tomorrow..
Taree
Ascotello,..forget his last run..previous was very good...
Flash Pride,,(suited back to the 1400,) /Kareoke Kauru (not an easy race for him but i liked the way he fought on last start,,improving)

Only 2 tomorrow..check out that weight Precise timing has to carry...even with that weight is till think hes good enough to place here...

Good Luck all :)

maverick1993 8th August 2006 10:08 PM

No luck today..Karoke was again brave in defeat...Flash Pride ran on but i thought was to far back and never really a chance...

A few for tomorrow
Brissie
Bold Arrow , Rule By Right ..i think both will be very short...but you never know...should be winning..
Birthday Bash/Panzer....if the odds are good enough i'll have something on both ,,Panzer is racing well,, with JB on board he'll get the best out of him...the weight pull of 3kgs to BB is hard to ignore though...and of course Colless...interesting race,,,,
Noble Gaze around this track will run well..put him your multis...

Canterbury
Lexington Steel...i like this horse,,..lovely stride ,,the freshn suits..might get double figure odss here..

Good Luck All :)

Yendall stays on and i'm prepared to stick with her today.

Poor run that day, but form before was alright and the distance suits, in the last at S'down, will be at massive odds, could run a cheeky race.

A good day today with Rule By Right winning...,,Noble Gaze i knew would run well and he did...he suits this track....I backed Panzer for the win,,,his usual honest race..

Lexington Steel Scratched Wed for thursday instead at Gosford...not an easy race with Tacical Response ,Brain Explosion and Xaar Xaar all rating well...i still like him though....maybe wanting a little bit better surface than todays bog...
Strictly Smart up north at the level weights will be hard to hold out...very honest horse...

My only 2 for thursday...good luck all :)

crash 10th August 2006 09:27 AM

Might add up to something.

TOWNSVILLE Thursday, August 10
r6/3 Impunity
r7/4 Resounding Victory
r8/3 Whinewomen'n'song

maverick1993 10th August 2006 09:52 PM

Another good day...Lexington Steel getting the bikies...(would have been even nicer if Xaar Xaar finished 3rd instead of 4th,,but still a good result.Strictly Smart to short for me ,,very brave in defeat ,,found it weird he was leading ...seemed to be a sitting duck down that straight..

A few for tomorrow...(have to be quick soz)
Ipswich
Big Mick ****, Cielo Gold , ....(keep an eye on Media Fund/SweetnInnocent)
Canberra
Written Habit,,, / La Ventanna / King Fui
(keep an eye on Unamico)
Tamworth
Little Poet ****,San Carlo , Opaque Zircom

Good Luck all ......

and has anyone noticed how good the forum has been of late with the winners ??
Jim ,,picking winners and tris all over the place
William,,,,,,picking winners paying more than $2 ??? wow ?? good stuff Will
Breadman,,,following a Jock ,,,but how can you argue this simple method..
Crash...alittle shy of late but a strikerate unmatched by anyone around here..

and then theres me ...alittle eratic at times but on one those rolls that come about when the gods are smiling.....

and all the ones i've failed to mention on the Cups Wa ect threads..

Good work boys :)

maverick1993 12th August 2006 08:28 AM

Not a great day friday ,,,(jinxed myself)

Ceilo Gold the only winner...(this horse is for sale if your interested)

Little Poet and San Carlo both 2nd ,,,grrr
Written Habit,,,still runing
Big Mick loomed up in the straight but died on his run...not sure what to make of his run ...will watch the video again..(the winner impressive..especially to do that around that goat track)

Opaque Zircom,,,huge run ...was in the carpark the whole way and still managed to finish thereabouts...we'll get better odds next start ..but lets keep it between us ;)

Hoping for beter luck today....my turn on the computer this arvo...shame as its a fanastic day outside ...

YoungBuck 12th August 2006 08:59 AM
