Hardrock Diamond seemed to race wide the trip too, is the track better out there? or were the others just not up to it...

maverick1993 28th June 2006 03:03 PM

the La Sizeranne/ Spirit Of Tara sprint lane is the place to be. the tracks had a bit racing.
Hardrock Diamonds isnt hopeless either..raced pretty well up at Caloundra last time i was there.

Mr ed 28th June 2006 03:11 PM

Looks like this threads still producing plenty of winners, good stuff guys.

Hey Mav, you done your townsville form for tommorow. I was on Top D'world last start and he took a while to wind up but got home very strongly and would have won in another 10 metres. The race looks absolutely perfect for him tommorow be nice to know your thoughts.

maverick1993 28th June 2006 03:12 PM

Cursing a few today...feel sorry for Marenelo Miss :)
1 for 6 so far and then only a placegetter.
Taking the 8's about Hoplite e/w just to curse another.....

Havent looked tomorrow Mr Ed....good to get Sportz thoughts aswell..he only lives around the corner.

Mr ed 28th June 2006 03:19 PM

Yeh anyones thoughts would be great

maverick1993 28th June 2006 03:34 PM

WOW how impressive was Dr Denzel...blitzed them in a recent barrier trial and cruised today,,,in time on a dead track,,on the inside !! .. keep an eye on this one.
Marenelo Miss to dig me out of a hole ..1 for 7 so far..
with all runners having good runs in transit and no excuses,,,except for Saxon of course....
reality bites

maverick1993 28th June 2006 03:52 PM

Always tomorrow,,hope you took my betfair advice,,,undone alot of the work from ealier in the week...
back to grindstone for tomorrow....dont like this sitting around a computer all arvo,,to tempting to have a bet and to keep betting
75% loss today ouch.

Svenvlad 28th June 2006 04:16 PM

Mav,

If Dr Denzel had improved any off his first run at the coast he was going to be mighty tough to beat. Its a top effort beating any 900m field by 7 odd lenghts, and the time was good for a 1st starter too. The first 2 across the line there today look well above average but the winner might be one right out of the box...

Sven

mad 28th June 2006 04:17 PM

Hurricanaurum for me in the next. Not a cert but it won over this distance by a mere 5 lengths last start and by all accounts has been racing consistently. Perhaps Honest record a danger, good 2nd up record. Impeccable Knight is in the market, but has a shocking record on the dead track and is a late mail selection!!!! Fingers crossed.

crash 28th June 2006 04:19 PM

A d.o.g.s breakfast at all meetings today.
Had one bet on the Chanster [$2.40w] race 4 in Qld.
3 bikie blow-ins to our pub walked in and stated 'need a win' and had a 3 box tri off the top of their head and collected with the winner paying $40, about $5k. ....went home after that effort. I just was just totally gob smacked [half their luck].

mad 28th June 2006 04:25 PM

No good for me either, scratch that runner. Not one to follow.

Not an easy race to rate Mr Ed,,using E%*$#+ F@$# as a guide for there last runs and then using my ratings ,,i have Brandy Snap on top (high points cause of the Jock and Trainer) closely followed by the top weight...i havent Topdworlds video of his last run but hes definetly a distance improver (with the toppy) and from a well respected stable...also like the breed ..
I'll be concentrating on these 3 for alittle fun with some multis..
Good Luck Ed,

I dont have much tomorrow..a bit gun shy after today...
I'll look at Appelby at Rocky who i think is right in this race at the distance,,i'll also have a look at Mr Eds horse Topdworld :)

I wouldn't normally be worrying too much about this race, but I agree with Mav. I think 1, 2 & 6 are the best chances. If you backed Top D'World last time, there's no reason not to follow up. I think he's a strong chance.

For what it's worth, here's what my ratings came up with:

1 . CALL A FRIEND . 88 . $2.90
2 . BRANDY NAP . 63 . $4.00
6 . TOP D'WORLD . 63 . $4.00
3 . DARK INTENT . 30 . $8.30
----------
4 . SIR ASHLEY . 10 . $25.00
5 . THE BREWSTER . 10 . $25.00
----------
10 . ARMIDAN . 5 . $50.00
9 . BUTTERFLY JUNGLE . 3 . $100.00

Also noticed Glourious Dane in the same race as Miss Armidale, think she could be some very handy nuisance value in this as well....

my maiden project "Cathy Come Home" is running in the 1st..has no weight and the distance suits...also Sanctuary Miss with hokai aboard might be some value..ran very well last start..
