Hi sportz,

Wish I could do that in comps though. My mind just goes La La [no money involved?]. Anyway just lucky I guess and every dog has his good days and the past 3 have been kind. Bit peeved that Haddle McDaddle shortened so much and Tsolias was beaten
by a 30/1 bolter.

Mav had a really good place for $4.80 on Quad Queen and a winner in Line by line.

maverick1993 24th May 2006 10:27 PM

Had a shocker today...0 for 5 ...plus the 2 yesterday...on a bad run ..
Hopefully i'll turn it around tomorrow
Rocky
Fastness, Tropiqualo, Flickn Spin
Bendy
Taras Hall
Wyong
LAdy Frisco

These are all in my stable....wont have time to rate the races there in but at a quick glance they all look well suited...
Good Luck :)

Went for the win there Crash..would have been nice....didnt like the value with Line By Line at 3's,,,,,,one of those days :)

hi Mav,

I've been betting 1X6 units ew ratio [$5X30 or $10X60] for the past few weeks after a poor couple of months from my win bets. Seems to work a treat. What I loose for the win I usually more than making up for with the place components [swings and slides].
1 win and 2 placings from 5 races is mostly as good as 2 wins from 5 races which is a lot harder to do regularly [I don't chase shorties].
It's only when I'm getting 2 wins [or more] in 5 I'd be better off with straight win bets, which began happening as soon as I started betting 1X6 ew of course :-)

crash 25th May 2006 07:55 AM

Bendigo
r6/7 Charlie Bub
r7/8 Gate Opener

crash 25th May 2006 04:08 PM

I think one of your's placed fror $1.50 mav. My 2 did buckley's and I'm glad that's all I backed. I wouldn't have done any better in any other races.

It was a good day for most punters to go fishing or do those jobs around the house we have been putting off. The bookies had a very good day everywhere it seems. Never seen so many unlikely's get up and likely's not even placing.

maverick1993 25th May 2006 05:08 PM

Hey Crash....an even day for me today...backed Fastness, Tropiqualo and FlicknSpin,,,
Tropiqualo got up so atleast a winner....
Lady Frisco will keep for alittle longer and Taras Hall alittle short,,,seems everyone was on,,,
havent seen the replays yet so i'll reserve judgment...

I've been going straight out for the win of late,,,and my usual trifecta and 1st 4 system,,,.3 weeks now and ahead,,,although i have jagged a few big divies and a some nice tris that flatter the figures...but the bottom line is all that matters so i'll keep it going...
have time tonight so i'll be looking at a few tomorrow and getting stuck in for the big day in brissie on Saturday :)

luv2bet 25th May 2006 09:26 PM

Hey Mav, and for those interested, Soveriegn miss is over in melbourne and never looked better. The weather is looking friendly, she's drawn well and can topple this lot hopefully at decent odds. I know theres a bit of a bias view but this horse has some speed.
Ill get an update saturday morning.
Was that you has gotta be hard to beat 2morrow. BIG stepdown in class here. Any odds around, im on.
Diamonds and I should go close in sunny as well, again need some odds.

Good luck guys.

maverick1993 25th May 2006 09:49 PM

Cant wait Luv2 ,,thought she was super brave in the slow where she didnt seem to handle it well...to get that close was huge...

Grand Lover *
Reckn I'm Ready/ Belles Opinion
Casino
Bambu
Ashbury

Really keen on Grand Lover,,looks very well suited here on this track in this field..

maverick1993 27th May 2006 10:59 PM

Been a struggle on here for me the last few days (thanks god for saturdays),,,this new rating system that i'm using is quick and easy but it throws up alittle to many favs for me...i'll be keeping it going till i hit the red but another couple days of bad results will probabbly do it...i'll then go back to my stable runners and usual system when i have the time..

Mildura
Polyester Boy
Quindri
Sutton King
Sunny Coast
Capeline
Tycoon Rose/Radar Orielly
Admirell's Pick

Like all of these..thoght at the odds Tycoon Rose from the good barrier and claim will lead and be hard to run down...Radar the one to probably do it..
Admirell's Pick looks to have ability,,has a bit to learn but i love the way this horse strides out,,,

Good Luck all :)

crash 28th May 2006 11:14 AM

No luck for me at Bris. mav. Terrible lot of head-bobbers that disappointed a lot of punters and a southern raider no one considered, taking out the biggy.
A win at Casterton [Beach D'Or] and Friday's good result smoothed it over for me.

A couple at Mildura with the second pick probably at odds.

r5/3 Full Spinnaker
r8/10 Tyrfing

maverick1993 28th May 2006 09:41 PM

A good day today :)

Sunny Coast
I like this Admirells Pick,,the horse looks good and has a heap of improvement...nice odds to..woohoooo
Capeline..to short to back,,,but running out of excuses
Tycoon Rose ..brave as ever...run her against the girls for gods sake..Radar ???jurys out on this one,

Sutton King Scratched,,,made Newtons Rings look pretty good to me...
Polyester Boy...a good run..the winner to good ..

Monday Selections
Port Macq
Hipwell, Frisco Popper
Bathurst
StopnGo
Wodonga
Mathews Pick
Frisco Flyer

Go the friscos ;)

Good Luck All

maverick1993 29th May 2006 10:06 PM

Nothing much happened today..
Hipwell ,,,,to short
Mathews Pick ,, ???? havent seen the replay yet
Stopngo,,,scratched
and the 2 Friscos ...1 unp and 1 2nd,,nearly there..

only have the one tomorrow
Finlayson at Kynton....horse has been good to me,,,have alittle reservation about Plumb but he has a motor underneath him,,,should win in this class..

ps..also didnt mind Amboise either tomorrow...will see of theres any value..

Good Luck all :)

Finlayson 3rd
ps bet Ambiose 3rd (but to short to back)

Always something around tomorrow :)

maverick1993 30th May 2006 06:21 PM

Some for tomorrow
Ipswich
Mi Cielo, Noble Gent
Belmont
Excetera Excetera **
Canterbury
Ledger , With a Chance/Phalanx
Murray Bridge
Cabernet Now

A couple sould be value here ,,,still in the black with this easy rating system ,,thanx to Admirells Pick on Sunday....but not by much..hoping for a good day tomorrow :)

Good Luck all.

Svenvlad 30th May 2006 06:45 PM

I wouldn't be discounting the NZer in the 7th at Ipswich tommorow, Easy on the Eye. Was wide at his first run in Aus and so finished a long way off em. But there was good money for him, suggesting there was confidence from somewhere. A better alley and loads of speed might see him competitive.

Sven

maverick1993 30th May 2006 07:38 PM

You mean the 6th Sven...i rated this horse fairly high but the times over there are always questionable,,,and then the question needs to be asked
"Why race it here ?"
to many ifs and buts ...but arent the Easy Rockings doing well ...
i thought Noble gent from the inside would be in it along way the track suits him ....,,and dont forget Monte Cavallo for 2nd ..he seems to like it there.

Svenvlad 30th May 2006 11:00 PM

Yea, sorry the 6th race Mav.

I've just got a huge question mark over Noble Gent. He hasn't won for a while and doesn't really seem to race at his peak away from EF. And dont worry, i'm the first to admit that NZ form is dubious...i still think Cog Hill is no hope in the Straddy and hes equal fav at $6.50? I just reckon that Easy on the Eye has loads of improvement left...mainly cauz hes only had 5 starts. Plus, as you say, the Easy Rockings are flying.

I hear you about Monte Cavallo though, theres a professional placegetter if ever i saw one.

Sven

crash 31st May 2006 07:10 AM

I like Mi Cielo at Ipswich too mav.with hope for Osca's Right with the massive weight drop, good odds and right barrier.

Sven's right about Noble Gent, hasn't won a race since Adam was a lad. I do like Mersey Beat and that thing Colless is on loves the distance and track. Poor form line but has been competing at a much higher level than this.
I've got 4th. up Pop Will marked in the last, as from barrier 10 this backmarker only needs flicking out from the rear and steering at the right time by Danny Griffin. A couple of leaders here should set things up. That's the theory anyway:-)

Good luck.

maverick1993 31st May 2006 09:31 AM

yep Noble Gent has been hard to follow...but we know hes capable of time ..with the claim and the inside barrier and the likely double figure odds i just liked the value..
another in this race that has speed is Suubird ,,,awkward barrier though ,,i think Mr Ed followed this horse for awhile,,,another horse capable of jaging a place is Stars o' Gold ,,should have won 2 starts ago and was wide and no chance last start...
One of those races ,,,the speed map swayed it Noble Gents way...
A few good races today at Ispwich
you have the match races between
Mi Ciello and Cirxus Maximus
WhataTune and Two Dancers
and in the last Your Lion Eyes hit the line nicely last start..might be value.

Svenvlad 31st May 2006 02:56 PM

Well done there Mav.

Suubird at good odds and Noble Gent getting in the placings too. Hope you had a big win.

Sven

maverick1993 31st May 2006 10:06 PM

Hi Sven..
Yes a nice result,,,didnt have a win on Suubird ,,just an e/w on Noble Gent and a trifecta wich was very nice,,,
i've recently stopped 1st4s except on feature events and Saturdays and missed out on a nice one today..would have had that in 2 lines..,,typical..
Thought the young boy struggled with the whip on Noble Gent but did ok..

Mi Cielo..seemed to get worried out of it by Shrek who i thought was very impressive..

Ledger,,,dont know why i keep backing this horse ,,
With A chance..fantastic run ..never had much room and just got done..i like this horse....phalanx a very honest 4th..

Cabernet Now...wow a big plunge on this horse..wasnt my money...great run though,,,will be wining soon...

SO all in all..an even day even with the nice Ipswich result,,,better than i loss though,...

Not much happening tomorow..
Townsville
Snick
Cranny
Admiral Jack..

Good Luck All

crash 1st June 2006 10:40 AM

Nice run by Noble Gent mav. Must be due for a win soon. The 'horse Colles was on' I was worried about [Sunbird] paid very nicely but I wasn't on it or the tri. and one of my runners was scr. to boot.

A few for Syd. because it's a 'good' track.
r5/2 Red Vicar
r6/6 Drysdale
r7/6 Lost Weekend

maverick1993 1st June 2006 09:44 PM

Hey Crash...
No Good for me today...a few for tomorrow..
seymour
el zahia
pharsna

Sunny Coast
Pure Angel
Jokingly
Navarro

Probably my last day with this new rating system i've been trying...been going for 3 weeks now and hasnt gone anywhere,,,,tomorrow is D Day ..will it finish in the black or the red ?? stay tuned ,,,

ps bet ...in the last at Sunny Coast is a horse called Vettories Image ,,,might get 40's ...has ability and if he can get to the front can be very hard to run down....if i'm having a good day i'll be having something on e/w..

Good Luck All,,,,big day Saturday :)

crash 2nd June 2006 06:33 AM

Gee mav. Are you sure there is enough horses in that last race on the Sun Coast? Should have split that lot into 2 races :-)
I'll go with the sun coast today as it's going too get wet down south. My selections all placed yesterday $1.90,$2.40, $1.60 so a nice little profit from my 1x6ew. Going to trial that betting for a little while yet.

No easy task on the coast today but I'll have a bash at these:

r5/7 Crest Of The Wave
r6/4 Moonbi Nymph
r7/4 Essex Girl
r8/11 Les Jeux D'Esprit

maverick1993 3rd June 2006 10:04 PM

Hi Crash..anything for tomorrow ??

I have a few , these are all bookers or stable runners...all worth a looksy..
sunny coast
Davion
triple pe
Tamworth
Victory Charm/Kaaptive Idea
Murwillimbah
Mighty Canny
Mornington
Poiym

Theres a runner racing around tomorrow at the Sunny Coast in the early maiden called Nediyms Spirit...i remember watching this horse in a ready to run sale at the gold coast and he was impressive...was short on the tote for his first start last time so theres obviously some interest...has an awkward barrier tomorrow but still worth a look e/w in this field and on this track...watch betting..

crash 4th June 2006 08:14 AM

Hi mav.

Had a look at that Nediyms Spirit. From the outside barrier it will need a lot of luck at 1200m on the Sun track as a mid-pacer. Pity it's not a backmarker.
The race is a maiden with a heap of horses in it too.

I can only find a couple today up there:

r6/1 A Tad Cool (NZ) (4) 57.05yo b g (P G Moody at Caulfield) M Cahill

A southern raider and looking at times, it's true. The southern horses seem to have a couple of lengths on the Qld locals in sprint races. No problem with the weight and quite a few of the [better] horses here have forgotten the way to the winners stall. This one should run over the top of them from the rear.

r7/12 Slick Trick (5) 54.04yo br g (M J Mair at Caloundra) K Pope

A very quick horse who might surprise the favorite. Perfect alley and should go forward and sit 1 or 2 off the leader. Coming down from 57kg too.

Have a good day.

maverick1993 4th June 2006 07:50 PM

A better day for me today :)
Mighty Canny and Davion...
missed out with Victory Charm and Triple pe ..but a profits a profit..

Sanfransico again..how good is he going..i thought the awkward barrier would give triple pe a chance but hes just in to good of form...well placed aswell

Only a couple running around tomorrow
bairnsdale
saki saki

wagga
spalding

Both maybe some value.. good luck all :)

crash 5th June 2006 05:44 AM

A Tad Cool did the business yesterday but Slick Trick got lost in traffic early
and was only ever going to be there for the run.

Going to be a heavy track at Bairnsdale [my local]. It's rained every night here for 3 nights running. Too late for me to move to QLD now.

r6/2 Tiggeroo (15) 57.53yo ch g (B Warren at Mornington) L Mc Gill (a 3.0) A heavy tracker and backmarker. Should suit perfectly from [15].

r7/5 Gracious Dane (2) 55.53yo ch g (G Eurell at Cranbourne) D Adam
A few in this havn't hit the heavy before and might surprise but this one looks the goods otherwise.

maverick1993 5th June 2006 08:33 PM

No good today..Spalding 3rd ....Saki Saki will wait for a good track,,,,

A couple for tomorrow
The Bool
Nassou
Musselbrook
Lunch At Friscos..

Good Luck All :)

crash 6th June 2006 10:13 AM

Bog track yesterday both scr.

Good at Muswellbrook
r4/4 Dancing Dynamo (2)" J Parr (a 2.0)
r5/ Lunch At Friscos (1)" G M Ryan [should control the race as the only leader in it with a great jockey on this track].
r6/7 Art Major (9) 55.05yo b g (Karyn Callaughan at Tuncurry) N Seymour
r7/1 Main Game (6) 57.54yo b g (P M Perry at Broadmeadow) C Reith
r8/12 Our Gangstar (7) 54.03yo br g (J C Deamer at Broadmeadow) D Mc Lellan

Stix 6th June 2006 10:40 AM

Have one I've followed for a while:

Muswellbrook
R6-10 Fair Trial (1) L Leech Form 6-2-9

Has been racing consistently, but not tearing the house down, having said that has placed here and distance suits. Will be very nice E/Way odds, maybe going 1x4. Exacta 10-1,2,4,6

Good Luck

No luck with Lady Frisco mav. You should sack her I think after a good opportunity missed. I thought today would be her day.
