Great match if you were barracking for the Aussies. The Poms were in the mix early but the Kangas had far too much class & won as they liked. |

The final score doesn't do England any justice For 60 minutes of the game it looked like it could have gone either way Overall imo they had an impressive Four Nations campaign & have taken some positive steps towards the future |

I agree Sands, the final score does not reflect how well England played. For all but the last 20minutes or so, that is. In the end the Aussies just played well for the full 80 minutes. Next time......? Mike |
I'm certainly looking forward to next time Mike
And hoping for bigger things come 2013 World Cup I think that Tony Smith stepping down is a good thing Think he has put in all he can Waiting with interest who will be his successor Even talk that Wayne Bennett could end up with another advisory role |
Just announced that the job of coaching England is set to revert to a full-time position
I guess that will rule-out Wayne Bennett Latest likely candidates include John Kear (current Wakefield Wildcats coach) Justin Morgan (current Hull KR coach) and Great Britain legend Ellery Hanley |
Bennett has his hands full in 2010. Not only will he attempt to end St George Illawarra's long wait for a premiership, but he will be in charge of the NRL All Stars side which will play the Indigenous All Stars on the Gold Coast in February.

The 2009 World XIII recently announced;
Team (Australian unless stated): Billy Slater; Brett Morris, Greg Inglis, Michael Jennings, Taniela Tuiaki (NZ); Darren Lockyer, Johnathan Thurston; Fuifui Moimoi (NZ), Cameron Smith, James Graham (Eng), Gareth Ellis (Eng), Anthony Watmough, Sam Burgess (Eng). Good to see a few poms in the side! |
A huge year for Greg Inglis!
Domestically he was named the Dally M Representative Player-of-the-Year, the Ron McAuliffe Medalist (Queensland's Origin Player-of-the-Series) and Wally Lewis Medalist (State-of-Origin Player-of-the-Series). He also scored the game-breaking try in the grand final win over the Parramatta Eels, as well as the late field goal that sealed the Storm's 3rd premiership. Internationally, Inglis was recently awarded the 2009 Golden Boot after being voted the world's best player by a panel of judges comprising some of the greatest players to ever play the game, as well as the recent Four Nations Player-of-the-Tournament award. |

Would have been nice to see 2009 NZ Sportsman of the Year,,Benji Marshall in the side! Maybe next year. |

That game not that far off & should be a bottler. Indigenous side likely to include both Greg Inglis & Johnathan Thurston. The NRL side likely to include both Darren Lockyer & Benji Marshall. |
Should be an entertaining game Hat.
Can’t wait for the NRL (& AFL) to start up again! |
Rugby League All Stars game

All Stars Game
You can vote for the NRL All Stars side. Wayne Bennett has shortlisted 64 players, 4 from each club, for fans to choose from. You can pick 16 players, one from each NRL club, that hopefully will make Bennett's final 20-man squad.
Voters have until midnight (AEDT) on January, 29 to make their selections. |
4 automatic inclusions in that final 20-man squad – the captains of Australia & New Zealand :) plus their deputies
