Stix 24th November 2005 02:28 PM

I ended up backing Shinko Blue..... had to at that price ..... even @ $2.10 the place.... ended up going 1 x 2 ....... gee only JUST go it, Dracks Back did F-L-Y home.... but lucky for me tooooooo late.

Tenacious Spirit 24th November 2005 05:29 PM

Well been working flat out the last coupla days, this thread has had some action!!!

Tips from wednesday yielded winners in Tarzi and the multi-bet Bahia-Seven Crownies, Tempo second. Losses on World Exclusive, Lemmon bitters.

Perused the form for the weekend, not too enthused.

maverick1993 24th November 2005 07:22 PM

Not a great day for me today
Galactical (great run) and Close the deal close up..
a place collect on Navajo Code and a few exotics..
El Gitano 5th i think but dissapointing..

Alot of near things of late and its all becoming very frustrating..
50% loss today..ouch :(

Hope you guys had a good one..

maverick1993 24th November 2005 08:41 PM

Good days racing tomorrow for a Friday..
Have a few i'll be looking at ,
Melbourne
*Bold Kel , *Mooncoin Magic, *Breezy
Toowoomba
*Picworth, *Rauties Warrior
Orange
*La Folie , (was on Lester Cove last time but i'm just scared of the weight and barrier..still should run an honest race though)

Hoping for good e/w odds about Rauties warrior...his last run wasn't all that bad and he has the inside barrier which will help in this field...alot of the fancies have awkward barriers and weight but i still think Kutalo will give a good sight and will be well fancied...Rauties was unlucky here against Loughnam last time,,hould have won with any kind of run..

Good luck guys...Saturday is looking good ..watching the videos and doing the form already..looking forward to seeing Malcom again..

Tenacious Spirit 25th November 2005 08:20 AM

Not an easy day for me yesterday, but at least I shook off the TMS..most of my selections failed to even run a place... I much prefer that than close 2nds.

Thanks to your Mavournin (almost an omen with a name like that Mav) $10.00 and XPT's Cogimate, Ive come out unscathed. Thanks Guys!

XPT, I dont know why the Qtab price on Cogimate was so much lower than in Vic and NSW. Shortened up a lot in last few minutes there I noticed... It wasn't me...promise LOL

Cheers

TheAvenger 27th November 2005 11:43 AM

I haven taken pretty hefty losses the past two days also. Now they abandon the meet at Goulburn today, leaving me only Tamworth and less than half my normal races. Oh well, I nailed a $4,500 trifecta at Churchill Downs on Thursday (on a $6 bet), so maybe I'm meant to lose for a bit. Nonsense; I believe a punter makes his own luck, but still can be plagued by poor riding and mishaps. My TAB has just added many Canadian tracks, Great Britain, Japan and South Africa. I'll find some way to amuse myself.

Regards,

Glenn

maverick1993 27th November 2005 10:11 PM

Have a couple for tomorrow maybe.
Narromine
**Miss Watanabe
Murrwilimbababa
**Streets of Fire

Both in good form and in races that look well suited,,,can't imagine a price but if theres some kind of value i'll be on..

Good Luck :)

ps..Noticed a horse from brissie down at Bairnsdale "Cafe Francis" this horse has ability on her day...just not sure why shes down there and in the past she hasnt fired 1st up but its not a hard race and she could be value...
would love to be at the track to have a look at her ..

w924 28th November 2005 07:11 AM

"I nailed a $4,500 trifecta at Churchill Downs on Thursday (on a $6 bet)"

Well done Avenger!..I'm damned if I can catch those tris..and yet they always look so easy after the event...

Maverick, thanks for your thoughts today.
Good Luck everyone

*Sea Counsel *Rejected

pretty confident about Sea Counsel even though this is a harder race than last time...
still havent decided on Rejected ...

Good Luck all :)

w924 29th November 2005 06:33 AM

To the usual suspects

Well Done again Stix..." is happy" lol

Mav., I think Watanabe also had the Late Mail kiss of death..just to make absolutely sure it wouldnt win.

I am beginning to like days like yesterday with just three meetings to keep one's eye on...much more relaxing..and dare I say..not hard to find a winner with the likes of Stix, Sportz ,Xpt and Maverick around.

Xpt, your ratings were a big help again....Thanks for Ballistics which paid almost $7.00 for third....much better than the winner, and Etched in Gold, and dare I admit it?...Battle Lover at $1.85 ( I must be losing it...fancy taking odds on..but I was on a roll and couldnt see it getting beat.)

I actually won a tri which covered a losing bet in the same race. Now that defies the odds I tell ya lol.
Good luck today everybody...

TheAvenger 29th November 2005 07:02 AM

I'll drink to that. They are an incredible crew of handicappers. It's definitely my shout.

maverick1993 29th November 2005 09:00 PM

Hi Guys I'll list me stable for tomorrow ..
Sydney
*Svenska, *Dabke Dancer, *Mi Casa
Melbourne
*Chut
Brisbane
*Just Ordained, *Big Mick, *Uturn, *Moonbi Nymph

Confident about Svenska, Just Ordained and Big Mick....

the others could be value...Uturn is in good form and from the good run will be flying at the end,,Moonbi Nymph i'm giving 1 last chance to..last run wasnt bad..like the freshen and the blinkers off,,,
Chut is a horse i've never backed but i think is suited in this race..

Could Be some value here guys..

good luck :)

Looks very familiar that sentence........ except I have backed it and it's never suited (or saluted) in any race (I've backed it in anyway....!) :D

Very, very ordinary and costly conveyance that one....... (You have been warned Mav ;) )

Sportz 30th November 2005 09:03 AM

I've been lucky. I think I've only backed it twice and one of those was it's only win. It does look suited today and if it was any horse but Chut, it'd be a top chance.

Mr ed 30th November 2005 09:43 AM

Struggling for a winner at the moment guys so take these as you please.

Thin and Crispy, looked a real class act last start at ballarat demolishing a very handy C3 field in a race worth big money. The win was even more impressive when you look at the pattern of racing that day and nothing was making ground from behind. Really like the way Tenfold found the line first up but at this stage can't see it troubling Thin and Crispy.

Evilweb, was beaten as very short priced favorite at Crannie last start but didn't have any luck. She never looked comfortable that day and was trapped 3 wide the trip, looked gone around the bend but boxed on like a tiger to run a close second. The start before she gave jestajewel a massive break at the 200 but reeled in many many lengths to only go down a half head. Jestajewel did go hard and was entitled to tire but the way evilweb came out of the pack and went after her was very impressive. She was nominated saturday in Readyforcatherines race and wisely scratched, this race looks infinately easier.

Good punting today guys, i also like Mi Casa Mav

Sportz 30th November 2005 10:18 AM

Unfortunately, a couple of wet tracks today. And no Darren Beadman or Paul Harvey to depend on. Anyway, here's a few to think about:

If you don't mind backing maidens in the wet, there's a couple you could look at for Doomben. Race 1-5 CRACKLE DASH looks the goods, with 12 Degner & 8 Our Favourite Miss the dangers. Then in Race 4, number 5 JUST ORDAINED to beat 7 Rojah Flower (5,7,8 - 1,6). The wet track has dented my confidence in Brisbane though.

At Cheltenham, depending on the price, Race 6-1 HEADLAND could be a good bet. 3 from 3 first up and his class is simply a notch above these. He should be too fast (1,2,3 - 9,8).

At Sandown, I'm quite confident about Race 4-1 THIN AND CRISPY. Looks very promising. Tenfold and Gaelic Lad possible dangers. (1,4,2 - 7,10) In Race 5, I'm looking at 4 EVILWEB from 2 Be Delicious. Then in Race 6, I think there could possibly be each way value with 10 KRASKY. 11 Dance At Ascot & 3 Chut the main dangers.

A few horses racing at Randwick that I was waiting for, but I don't like the track now. Currently slow, and possibly a downgrade imminent. I don't know what to do now. Anyway, for what it's worth, here were the ones I was looking at: R3-6 SAFWA, R4-9 MI CASA, R5-8 DIGOS, R7-9 THREE TENORS. Perhaps a little each way on these, but no great confidence now on the wet track. In the last race, perhaps you could look at a multi around the numbers 1,3,9 - 5,2,6.

Sportz 30th November 2005 10:52 AM

Hey Ed, we like a couple of the same horses. Don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
