Hippysister and Patiric do look good today Sportz...
dont under estimate Never Sad either..she''s got a bit of class the old girl,,
maybe a quiny or a any2 hmmmm
only having a play bet today as i'm still getting over the protest thing yesterday and Shady henrietta getting beaten by a nose....its shattered me ,,,

Sportz...i'm sure the tab tipster picked Ryan in 7 of the races on top...never a chance after that.. lol

maverick1993 25th July 2005 02:30 PM

well done Sportz ..nice win by Hippy's Sister ...pays for a carton of vb ..
if Patric wins and lady viv i'll have the treble 20 times ..
would be nice :)

Sportz 25th July 2005 02:34 PM

Had good results with All Charisma and Hippy's Sister. That's better!

You're right. There was a lot of weight on those Ryan rides today. There were actually 2 jockeys I thought would go well today, Ryan and Allan Robinson. Well, Robbo's got 3 so far, but Ryan only 1.

maverick1993 25th July 2005 02:40 PM

over the last month or so Robbos been out riding everyone .. very good underated jockey....Miss Hokie alot though ..he won me a heap of cash that jockey...and heard he's out for atleast another 4 months..

maverick1993 25th July 2005 02:54 PM

Just noticed Fine Dane in the last at PQ ..this horse caught my eye last start in that race where Mafia Don was a short priced over rated fav ...the horse i picked tosssed the jockey off on the way to the barrier..
Fine Dane got caught in a bit of traffic that day when all the horses were trying to get to the outside rail ..he was full of running ..
alot of the the others here are going down in grade ..but he is going up but he has performed in this grade before..has a good jockey and not a bad weight..good barrier..won at the track before ...
He should of beat One Pound Six last start and that horse is right in the market..
he gets all the ticks..
will have an e/w on him ..wish i saw him before i put the treble on with Lady Viv ..
but atleast i have an out ...(that is if Patric wins of course)

suppose to be my day off today ..lol ... can't help myself .

Gday all

Robbo/Hawkes combo of a sat at the provs was a winning combo... not sure if he is still getting the rides...

He usually rides pretty well here when he comes.. look for him combining with Neil... it is usually a pretty good combo.. but then again most of Neil's runners give you a show... Others to look at here are Graham/Prosser.. Dolendo with Neil can find some nice winners, but not all that consistent.. and of course ol Bob from Taree hardly ever sends out a dud runner..

maverick1993 25th July 2005 03:07 PM

Good run By Patric i thought ...he had to lead them up and chase that leader ..wont be taking him off the christmas card list just yet..
Having a confident e/w on Fine Dane now .... he'll get the speed he needs in this race aswell..hopefully he'll be coming down the outside .. without knocking the 2nd place horse over in doing so..
Nice trifect race to..

xptdriver 25th July 2005 03:49 PM

Gday mav

Ol Bob got the last one at nice odds here at Port... I hope you were on :) Has been a pretty nice day today ...

maverick1993 25th July 2005 03:54 PM

nope but had a nice e/w on Fine Dane...very happy to finish ahead for the day .. :)

gday mav...

nuthin wrong with 3/1 the place.. good onya .. hope ya had a good one..

If sportz is reading:

Ryan got that treble for ya :)

Sportz 25th July 2005 04:54 PM

XPT,

Yeah, not too bad in the end. $1 on each of my first selections returned a profit, so not too bad I guess.

Well done Mav with Fine Dane. A good div for the place.

luv2bet 25th July 2005 05:34 PM

Tipped one pound six on here couple of weeks ago, shouldve followed it up!!

Gday luv2bet

got a nice price too... but it was perilously close.. I thought the wide runner had it

Mr ed 25th July 2005 07:59 PM

Kyneton Rc 1 No. 7 Silvadarri

This horse slipped under my radar last start when i tipped In Hot Pursuit, after he ran a gallant second after leading and doing plenty of work to Jygah who had the best run you'll ever see, i looked back on his previous runs and there was a lot to like. That day he spaced the third horse by over 5 lengths and the fourth horse by over 10 on a very damp surface over 1500m. The start before he led up a very, very handy field over 1612 when just faded to be beaten 4th less then 2 lengths behind Octavalent, Always Class (has ******** in since) and Bluescope, 4th to always class, but a badly judged ride. The start before that he tried to match it sitting outside Madison Lane and weakening a little, we all know that form stands up now.

The step up to 1850 will suit so long as they don't go too hard, or he can get a nice trail the other natural leader in the race is Wyambi who just battled on to 4th behind Alleged Encounter last start, that horse is promising but the field was not overly strong, the second horse Coronation Stryder won @ Echuca last start but that field was also weak and he had every possible. Another from Alleged Encounters race was Atomic Spider, who ground to the line OK, but always does and never really figures. They walked that day but there should be more pressure on tommorow from the likes of Destiny Lane and Jesmond Eagle who can't win but are a pain. Thinking with a decent run to the first bend at Kyneton that Silvadarri will push forward and Ryan can get him into a handy position in the first 4 from (11).

Main Danger looks to be Nubitor who ran second to the impressive Santas Queen over 1900m last start, he had every chance with the leaders; Santas Queen and Wiganvale, going Lickity split up front. Nubitor got a dream run and looked likely to go straight past Santas Queen 200m out but just couldn't go past and that horse pulled away to win very well. Nubitor was stepping up from 1400 to 1900m that day so his condition may well have just given up on him that last little bit, he'll be fitter tommorow and looks to get a good run again from (4).

The others who'll be in the market are Maid In Euroa, who always gets home well but needs it weaker. Classic Recipe who ran on well behind Dun Mears last time but big step up in distance, the rest are absolute walkers.

Silvadarri should be rock hard fit now, and getting better with every start IMHO he is very tough to run past tommorow and looks a moral to run a drum.

Sorry about all this, i just like to really analyse each runner when i'm going to have a big go.

Sportz 25th July 2005 08:18 PM

I wonder if the horse knows that he simply HAS to win tomorrow??? :D

Mr ed 25th July 2005 08:30 PM

I might go down and whisper it to him in the stalls.

maverick1993 25th July 2005 10:11 PM

Good Luck Mr ed ..i'll be on ..with fingers crossed.. :)

I have a couple running around tomorrow..
Rebelete ..this horse is droping back to her pet distance...ran a huge race with weight before her last start failure where she just didnt get into the race....against this lot she's a big show..
She does have the 59kg and this worries me..i'm not sure who's riding her ..hopefully a decent jockey with a claim..if she gets a couple of kilos off i'll be on..
Postcard bandit always attracts support and Langfibian has a ability ..hopefully they come for these 2 and Rebelette gets to decent odds..

Diamond n Ice in the open looks well placed here..has been consistant of late..and i can see the only danger being Prince Of Ashes who has the bad barrier...the'll be a few scratchings here ,,,that helps to put these 2 on top by a margin....
Diamonds was only a few off Umatrick who has been flying of late ..
she also beat my other tip Rebelete ..so i'm trusting that form line..
they'll be speed in this race ..danefull might try and dictate the tempo and roll along at a decent speed ...hopefully he doesnt get it his own way up front and theres a bit of a battle up front....the speed will suit Prince of ashes as well ,,he likes to sit out the back and have one crack at them,,,
with Omnitrader out that doesnt leave any other front runner in the race ..Danefull could have it his own way...it's a bit short for him though ..and i'm also hoping Greniiulle or another roughie will pressure him..
as you can see theres a few variables so i'm hoping the odds on Diamonds are attractive enough to tempt me..

weird i dont have anything up in Rocky,,usually a fav of mine..

Raw Instinct 26th July 2005 09:55 AM

Well my best mate have there horse running in the first in Rocky today we are heading out to the races to watch it. It is the first the name of the horse is Joint Krew it won it's first start at yeppoon on an absolute bog then was hurt for a couple of months. Then the other day first up in Mackay it missed the start by about 4 lengths which is basically the end of your race at that track aparently it did finish the race off ok. Not sure if the step up to 1300m is a plus or a minus if she can get just off the speed with a bit of cover then it just might give her the chance to get the distance might be wrong but if she leads I do have my doubts whether she will get the 1300m she might be worth a small e/w bet anyway aparetnly she has been going extremely well in track work from all reports she has turned into a nice little race horse with a bit of luck she might even show that today who knows.

Sportz 26th July 2005 10:29 AM

Well done Mr Ed. Pretty much as you predicted. :D

Stix 26th July 2005 10:41 AM

Congtrats....

Well Done Mr Ed.

Mr ed 26th July 2005 11:16 AM

Cheers lads,

I was very confident when Jesmond Eagle and Destiny Lane decided to take a sit instead of vying for the lead. Also the very heavy track suited Silvadarri but he was so tired at the finish. I thought he may have paid a little more, but not complaining.

Mr ed 26th July 2005 12:23 PM

Why not

Might be giving a little back here, but Xaarbel is an absolute nob in the wet and looks well suited in the 8th, he will drop back from (12) but there should be decent speed on. 2 runs back he moved into the race stylishly but went far to early to be beaten into second at Horsham. His last start at Geelong he just accelerated in the going so easily with a very high knee action after a perfectly judged ride from Holland, he was a maiden that day racing in C1 grade, including Oak Park Shannon who's run well since, and meets a similar field here with a little more weight. Haven't done to much form on the race, but he is definately worth a little each-way if the odds permit. Will still be a huge day if it loses so not to worried.

Cheers ED

It's your huge following. :D

Mr ed 26th July 2005 12:48 PM

I knew you, Mav and L2B were high rollers Sportz, but this is ridiculous.

luv2bet 26th July 2005 01:06 PM

Well done Ed, superb script you put on that race....... Had a pretty good on it
Cheers.

luv2bet 26th July 2005 01:34 PM

Might have a bit of a crack on sun and sand in the last at ballina. Ignore its last few starts was a long way above this league. Hes drawn well and with best view scratched looks to be very well suited. Has good form over this distance along with a little home ground advantage should go well.
Dont mind bello gino in rocky, probably too short for a bet but would think he can go on with it here..
Wont be suprised to see LORD NEDIYM run a race at big odds either. Extra distance will be appreciated.
Good luck

luv2bet 26th July 2005 02:23 PM

On fire there Ed.... sorry about those odds again though..

maverick1993 26th July 2005 03:49 PM

You are on Fire Mr ed ..thought Xaarbell was special after last start..fantastic run ..even though he was in the sprint lane he still finished so strong and obviously likes the conditions..

Good win on both (and my bet was in the 3 figures so it wasnt my fault with the divie ;) )
paid for my loss on Diamond and Ice..dissapointing..had the run of the race..
bit closer than i thought though..

Havent seen the race wiith Rebelette but why they didnt claim on her is beyond me..i''l bet she finished under 2 lengths off ..which is what i'd penalise her for that weight....

Having a crack at Sun and Sand Luv2 .... i cant seem to pick a winner so i'm just backing you guys ..lol ..

Good luck ...another winning day .. thanks again Mr ed .. what do you like tomorrow :)

Well the odds didn't permit so i had to back him straight out, what a pity

maverick1993 26th July 2005 03:59 PM

Woohoo !! happy days :)

Was feeling alittle shattered the other day when Kaaptive idea lost on protest and Shady henrietta just went down ..
But today has been huge :) and i havnt picked a winner ....sort of feel alittle guilty ..the only one i tip loses ..
3 out of 4 ..fantastic and a nice tri in the last .....

Thanks Luv2 .

Mr ed 26th July 2005 04:08 PM

Thanks fellas, glad i could be of service. Top work with Sun and Sands L2B this has been a very nice day indeed, cheers.

Mav, tommorow in race 3, i really, really liked the debut run of Three Diamonds, if you've got a tape have a look. She was wide the whole way, coped huge checks, was under the whip 800m out, and still finished gamely to run 4th behind Six Oclock Rock who will nearly start favorite tommorow, but only beaten about 2 lengths. Obviously was waiting for her in a provincial maiden, but the odds would be terrible so i'm happy to be on her in what looks just an average field of 2yo.

Rc 4 Mazunda, We nearly bought this horse 12 months ago, after some unlucky maiden runs, but his price just wasn't right. Since then it has progressed into a very nice animal, and although biased his record agrees with me. Three starts back at Moe with 58kg his turn of foot blew me and the rest of the field away, he may have had enough his next start when 3rd to Secret Recording, then last start first up from a freshen up he sat outside the leader, ripped and pulled the whole way and still went on to score very well on a heavy track. He rises in weight a bit and he is pretty much the only horse who doesn't claim. But he looks to be the one on the up from the field and aside from Chanorth the only one who wants a really wet track. He can take a sit or roll forward and will put up a huge show.

You like any.

maverick1993 26th July 2005 04:26 PM

Have heaps running around tomorrow Mr Ed...will spend half the night narrowing it down....
interesting i have Mazunda in the book as well..
lets hope the run continues tomorrow ...
any thoughts on any races guys are most welcome :)

Raw Instinct 26th July 2005 05:51 PM

Well I had a good day at the races today my mates horse went ok ended up finishing 4th behind a tear away winner they are going to put her into an 1100m race in a couple of weeks and put the blinkers on think they are expecting her to go close again. I had a pretty good day backing Mydam Twist $6.80, Fortified $4.00, Bob's Bid $3.50 with the bookies & Mining Silver $3.70. So I had a pretty good day at the races which is unusal for me at the local races usually go terrible here. I could have got the 2nd winner of the day Gee Gee McGregor but I thought that Dingo form was probably not the greatest in the world.

luv2bet 26th July 2005 06:02 PM

Im pretty keen on a few 2morow just going over it. Had a go on lord nediym which paid a bit less than i thought but good win all the same, was ********tin myself though betting against Mav. Had the best day 2day that I have had for a long time. With my 2 bets getting up along with Ed's supertips, happy days...
Cheers Ed.
Had a go on rebelete Mav, didnt see the race but think you were right about the weight factor, not much damage.

Theres been some great contributions all round on this thread, lets hope it continues!!

maverick1993 26th July 2005 08:53 PM

Well done with Lord Nedyim Luv2 ..was ridden a treat...great run by Prince Of Ashes i thought...1 for the book for sure..
Diamonds n Ice was dissapointing..
Rebelette was always going to be a risk with that much weight..usually leads but had to be ridden upside down because of it....not sure of the margins yet..havent seen the replay .. Maybe they couldnt find a apprentice for her ?? ..good run just the same ..will follow her if shes placed better..

Some interesting races around tomorrow..
Eagle Farm.
R4 ..intersting betting race this one,...i reckon they'll come for a few here..i like Lunacampo ..this horse finally gets to race on a dry surface...will improve out of sight ...another at odds is Vettories Image ..this horse is bred to keep on running and should get the lead here ..Both have jockey's in form and in these open races ,,thats sometimes the difference..both of these should be nice e/w value..
R5. Rum Dum ..super run last start...very confident here ..cant see it paying all that much but just wins this ...will hope for anything above 2.50
Lunalana is a good longie that could grab a place and improve the trifecta.
R6 ,, Wow what a race..Mastermind and Renouf battling it out up front..could be a mad sprint up front...if Huddle gets to decent odds he could be the one to sit off these 2 and run them down...Has been working well apparently and has shown some good form last time in.....is first up and might need that freshness to keep up with them..
R8. Prang finally gets a run here...this horse just needs a half decent run to win this..has been unlucky of late...form jockey and good barrier..great run behind Ally bee last start where he was wide again..before that was 5 wide the whole way araound and still stuck on..the freshen will suit..
Miss Belatorie will be suited here by the track,,shes a hard horse to catch but Stanley knows her so well..dad trains her and he's the only one that rides her..she drops out the back and needs alot of luck but has a good finish when right...could be a knockout at huge odds..worth a e/w

Sydney
R3. John Syn looks ideally placed here..bowman aboard..likes the track and distance and good run last start..gets all the ticks ,,should get a nice tempo set up by Raffin Glow who like last week will give alot of cheek up front..
R4. Blue Lyric ..doesnt win often ..hardly at all really ..but this is the race for her...she battles away like a real plugger and she's bred to run all day.....not much in this race ..evaporized in lower classes has been ok..
Blue Lyric is only 5's ..would want closer to 9's or 10's...
R8.. Fleet Felix ...Moses has a high opinion of this horse ran on well in a harder race last start...has a big show here but wont be any flash odds..
Flemmington
R4. If the track isnt rain affected i Like Limited Impulse ..this horse is a real fighter ..will lead and be to strong for them with the claim has performed against better than this lot..,,,but if its rain affected Mazunda looks to have the edge on all of them..
R6. Captain Zero ...i've been waiting for this horse to get to this distance...has been racing like a true miler of late ...i know the toppy is pretty flashy ,,but the 6kgs less for Captain Zero will help ,, will be nice e/w odds..
R8. Celtic boom is thrown in at the weights here...looks a gimme ..Umbula wont give in without a fight but the 6kg swing seems too much ,,,,does have a class edge though......reckon i'll be watchin this race unless theres value around these 2..
Blaklava..
R8 Queen Catherine,,,ran some good races last prep...is bred to get over ground but should sprint well fresh,,,,Kavanagh will have her ready and there doesnt seem to be much at all in this race..

Good Luck All,,, :)

maverick1993 26th July 2005 09:08 PM

Mr Ed...tough race with Three Diamonds...Presently was impressive last start..
Six oclock rock should have some improvement over the longer distance..and Tilleka's win 2 starts ago was fantastic....dont mind red for lou either,,
Hard to go past the toppy though..with D Moor and his claim she looks good..
..In these types of races my Breeding ratings are higher...i dont rate the Singspeils yet all that highly,,,,i just dont know the breed all that well..but the toppy's are Redoutes choice and testa rossa's..
tough to bet against them...will watch this race but best of luck ..
Would like to hear your thoughts on the breeding of this filly and what she looks like....

Svenvlad 27th July 2005 10:16 AM

Hi all,

One in the 2nd at Eagle Farm today bears watching i think...#10 Duhaaba after a strong trial win. Pager is a solid chance in the 7th at Eagle Farm also.

Good luck

Sven

Sportz 27th July 2005 11:08 AM

E.Farm
R5 - 3 RUM DUM - Terrific run last start in stronger Saturday company. Only query is the jump of nearly 550m in distance. If he handles the distance rise, he should win. 2 Marlene Gaye in good form and is the main danger. (3-2-8-4-6)
R6 - 1 MASTERMIND - Perhaps I've over-rated him, but if he can't win this, I would be disappointed. He'll only be about $1.40 though, so not really a betting proposition. (1-5-4-3)
R7 - 2 TANTAT XAAR - Fair form in Victoria and a very good win at his first run up here. 3 Jaegers is the main danger with 9 Oh Raw Oh Raw and 10 Oliver's Magic good chances for multiples. (2-3-10-9-11-5)
R8 - 1 A FAIRY'S KISS - Definite top pick here, but worried about the price, so might give it a miss. 3 Storm Moss the main danger. Might look at the multiples. (1-3-11-8-9-6)

Rand
R1 - 2 AIN'T SHE LOVELY - I had Ain't She Lovely last start and it was a very strong win. Might back her again. 1 Encosila the main danger. (2-1-3-5)
R2 - 3 MEHTER - A huge win last start over this track and distance. No reason why she couldn't do it again. 7 Greece Lightning and 1 Born To Rule are the main dangers. (3-7-1-12-4)
R3 - 3 JOHN SYN - Gets a race to suit here. Good performance behind Loftily last start. 2 Impala Bullet the danger. (3-2-1-4)
R6 - 3 SIR CRAIGLEE - Two excellent performances in strong Saturday races behind Men At Work and Hipster Doofus. Suited here, but be wary as he has been a bit of a non winner. 2 JON RON is equal top pick with great Saturday form. He's a big threat. (3-2-1-4-6)
R8 - 1 FLEET FELIX - Again strong Saturday city form. Ran well last two starts and he would have been strongly fancied in the last on Saturday if he had started. He's the top pick here. 3 Tactical Toy, 5 Castlecrag and 6 Missile Device for the multiples. (1-3-5-6-4)

Flem
R2 - 2 WILDWOOD ROAD - Great run behind Automaton at it's first start and in a tough race where 1, 3 & 6 will all be popular, Wildwood Road could be value. Maybe a small bet. 1 READY TO MOMBO is equal top pick. He has easily the best overall form. There's also a boom on 3 Hachiman and 6 Noise Barrage ran quite well in the same race as Wildwood Road. (2-1-3-6)
R3 - 1 PRESENTING - Potentially a top filly with good form in the Autumn behind horses like Opportunity and Leveller. Resumed with a good win. She's top pick. 2 Red For Lou was narrowly beaten in a good midweek race at Sandown and 5 Six O'clock Rock was a strong win last start. (1-2-5-3-10)
R4 - 3 MAZUNDA - Has the best and most consistent form. No need to jump off him here. 8 Criminal Intent backing up after a good run last Thursday. (3-8-9-4-7)
R6 - 4 ITSECHUCA - Very strong form out of a Moonee Valley Saturday race on the 16th. It's equal top pick here with 8 FASTBACK which has consistent country form. Top run last start. 1600m should suit. (4-8-10-5-9-6)

Mr ed 27th July 2005 11:39 AM

Mav, i don't really take any notice of breeding, all my bets are based on past performances. Presenting does look tough to beat, but what odds? Three Diamonds was a terrific run, don't leave her out of your multiples.
If you like breeding try Rc 2 Hachiman, full brother to Dizelle and Vengeance of Rain.

Good luck with Limited Impulse, i don't generally like leaders down the straight 6 however, i think if Mazunda can take a ********, he will explode and be very tough to beat.

Will be sure to be on a few of yours lads, Go you good things!
