Returning for the Perth Wildcats: Stephen Weigh,Shawn Redhage,Jesse Wagstaff, Brad Robbins, Damian Martin, Drew Williamson & Kevin Lisch. Especially pleased that they have re-signed (for another season) grand final MVP Kevin Lisch. Lisch had considered a move to Europe and also fielded offers from rival NBL clubs.

Big loss for the New Zealand Breakers with import Rick Rickert going to the Gold Coast Blaze

Ironically Rick will become a NZ citizen before the season starts so the Blaze still have space for 2 imports

..from what i read the breakers had ample opportunity to re-sign rickert ?

Understand that contract negotiations with Shawn Redhage only just completed. Should be signed-off by the NBL today. That's a relief for Wildcats fans!

First player signings to be announced next week!

Cameron Tovey & Matt Knight additional signings for the 2010/11 season. Tovey in particular had been a target of the Wildcats for some time and finally came to terms recently. Tovey began his NBL career with the Wildcats in the 2005/06 season before joining the Sydney Kings & then Townsville.

The Wildcats have done well, Hat. They were kind to me the season past, hopefully they'll do the same, new season.

The initial squad should provide a solid core. Julian Khazzouh & Luke Cooper imo, may prove best of the bunch.

Yes they have done ok, RJ. Just signed their last squad member, former Breakers big man Jeremiah Trueman. Fulfils the teams requirement to have one OZ or NZ player under the age of 24, in their roster of 10 contracted players.

Not long to go now, the Boomers three-game international series against Argentina. A great test for the Boomers leading-up to the world titles in Turkey.

Will certainly be a good guide for the world titles

Well, a 3-game sweep to the Boomers! Albeit Argentina didn't bring all their top players to Oz.

The Boomers continue their lead-up to the world titles, with matches against China, Slovenia & Iran, as part of the Stankovic Continental Cup championship. The Boomers will square off against China (game 1) on 28 July at the Liugang Gymnasium in Liuzhou, China.
