Well i could surely pick the second placers!

I think it only works if i back them for a win though.

maverick1993 20th October 2005 06:37 PM

Hi guys..
My 2 for tomorrow
*Tara's Song.. Mackay r2... has been unlucky her last 2 runs....likes the wet, likes the track ...and i'm guessing its wet up that way,,D Evans a good jock,,,the toppy looks a danger but in the wet a risk.. Amberace is in good form a place chance....
I'm alittle worried about the quick back up here but they seem to do that up there all the time.....would want a good price,,
*Sabre Sonic...Mackay r7...D evans again..fantastic winner last time here....in great form..loves the track and distance,,heaps of ticks...

a couple of others i like tomorrow..
*Fairy Blitz ..Queany r7...
*Capilano Rd ..Coffs r8...

Good Luck :) Hope you guys got Luke's Turn today ...well ridden by Palmer whos going to be a superstar..

Well, it hasn't actually rained as much yet as I was expecting, but showers and thuderstorms are predicted for tomorrow.

Not sure if Western Spur (Northam R7 No5) can cope with the speed for 1300m but Vern reckons hes fit and setting him for longer...hasnt shown anything yet (even been described as one paced-slow hahahaha) but mother is from Zabeel and apparently they dont start to show anything till 4 years plus so fingers crossed...

I know Ive done so before and was disappointed but will pick Silent Wishes again in race 1 Northam...No 3 and 16 small ew in R2... and think Prince Of Vasac canturn the table on Wild Target in R6 with the extra 100m (was good win by WT though with PJ again on board)...good luck guys...hope to catch up Saturday...:D

Not a good day guys apologies...WSpur no good at all :( will find out what Vern wants to do...Silent Wishes off the list and Prince of V 3rd to Wild Target lol...no 16 Retrobeep a short priced winning favourite in R2 (Vern will be happy)...

Bad luck Desi.

I just had two betting races yesterday. Metalikali and Wild Target. Seriously, is there any better system than simply following Paul Harvey??? :)

BORDI 21st October 2005 03:00 PM

hey stix...

thanx for the info on all-up bets etc. one more thing however: you mentioned the following...

All up (Win only) means you pick:
* Horse #? from race 1 to WIN, then
* Horse #? from race 4 to WIN, then
* Horse #? from race 5 to WIN, then
* Horse #? from race 6 to WIN, and put $10 unit

how much would this example cost??? 10 dollars???

cheers..

bordi

$10 dollars mate...... :D

maverick1993 21st October 2005 04:13 PM

No joy for me today :(
Left Tara's Song alone at that price...
Sabre Sonic just didnt run on at all..good price i thought but just struggled very dissapointing indeed...

maybe a slab on Capilano Rd at huge odds e/w ...the slow track has scared everyong off but hes only had the one start on it,,
box him with the 2/4..chuck in 1 and 7 for the 1st4 ..

Quiet in here today...raining in Brissie...looks like a slow track at best..
shame as its a real good meeting at Doomben..

Good Luck all :)

BORDI 21st October 2005 04:17 PM

sorry stix one more thing....

is it always 4 races? or can u do less/more?

Sportz 21st October 2005 09:04 PM

If it's an all-up, it's 2, 3 or 4 races, and you can back any of your selections for a win OR for a place.

TheAvenger 22nd October 2005 09:40 AM

Will you have any picks for today, Sportz?

Regards,

Glenn

Sportz 22nd October 2005 09:53 AM

Certainly will. Working on them now.

Sportz 22nd October 2005 10:48 AM

ROSEHILL

Race 1 - Even race here, but if you want a bet, I think 4 DOUBLOON has a chance, and 1 ZINZIN is a possible roughie. (4,3,2,1)

Race 3 - 4 FOX LAKE* is a very promising horse. Likely to be short, but should win. 6 RESISTOR could be a nice roughie. (4 - 6,2,1,3)

Race 4 - 7 RIVERINE. Excellent win last start after being well backed first run. Expecting her to go on with it. Dangers are 4 FLURO FEVER & 3 SKY RIGHT. (7,4,3 - 2,1,5)

Race 5 - Not normally keen on horses having their 2nd career start, but 5 STRADA looks a good one and is the one to beat. I'll be looking for some value though. 6 WHISTLING BOB & 1 FRIDAY CREEK are the dangers. (5,6,1 - 3,8,7)

Race 6 - 12 SWARTHY was a top run last start and 3rd up, it looks like this will suit. He's equal top pick with the smart and consistent 1 LE BRON. I'll be looking for each way value around these two.

Race 7 - I'm keen on 10 AMIANAN here. Very promising, down in weight nd extra distance should suit. Dangers are 2 OCTOBER SON & 5 AL'S FLYER. (10,2,5 - 1,4,11)

MOONEE VALLEY

Race 3 - Tricky race, but 8 FACING THE BREEZE is promising, so perhaps a small bet each way if the odds are okay.

Race 6 - 12 MATRAS is a favourite of mine. Okay in the wet, so no reason to jump off here and may get a price thanks to the outside barrier. 4 HENNESSY WALTZ looks perfectly set for this after a good run last week and is the obvious danger. 7 AQUA D'AMORE also a chance. (12,4,7 - 2,6,8,11)

Race 7 - In my mind, 3 horses stand out as top prospects. 10 MAKYBE DIVA is definitely the top pick, but I don't know that she is great value at the odds likely to be on offer. If this was run at Flemington, she'd be a good thing, but at Moonee Valley, she might find some trouble. Still the one to beat though. 2 LAD OF THE MANOR & 13 GOD'S OWN are the two big dangers in my opinion. Lad Of The Manor has so much in his favour, especially the track and the conditions. Meanwhile, God's Own could be anything. Outstanding win in the Guineas and no reason to drop off now. 3 roughies that I think you should consider for multis are 3 Super Kid, 5 Desert War & 6 Fields Of Omagh. (10,2,13 - 3,5,6,1)

Race 8 - Looks a good race for multis. I'll be looking mainly at 1 MISS POTENTIAL, 4 LIEUTENANT & 5 NICONERO. 8 LORDS A LEAPING could be a good longshot with a good 2nd up record. (1,5,4 - 8,9,11,2)

More soon.

Sportz 22nd October 2005 11:41 AM

ROSEHILL

Race 8 - 3 BENTLEY BISCUIT looks the winner here. Promising horse, but only just got home last time. Unlikely to be any value. 7 MR UBIQUITOUS & 4 NEWTON'S RINGS are the dangers. (3,7,4 - 2,1,9)

MOONEE VALLEY

Race 9 - I really like the chances of 9 SARRERA each way here, especially if there is more rain. As it is, I think the current conditions will suit. Dangers are 1 PERLIN & 7 KINDJAHL. (9,1,7 - 4,10,6)

Race 10 - Not totally keen here. 13 UNABATED was a great run last time and looks a top prospect here, but it's a wide open race with many chances. 7 MOCK & 12 AUSSIE LOTI could be good value.

DOOMBEN

Race 5 - 3 WILLY LEICA really should be winning here. Not sure he'll be much value though. 4 PLANAGRAM & 5 TYCOON ROSE could be okay each way value. (3,4,5 - 2,8,12)

BELMONT

Race 8 - 3 IS AMAZING* looks too good here. In top form and Paul Harvey rides. (3,1,5 - 4,10)

Sorry. Left out 14 Hotel Grand. If you can afford it, you should perhaps try to include it somewhere.

So many chances in this year's race, and often a roughie bobs up in the placings, so who knows???

Well, Fox Lake was a bit disappointing, but a good result with Resistor.

maverick1993 22nd October 2005 01:53 PM

well done sportz...Win, tri and 1st4 with Matras ...won very well.
nice 1st4 divie i thought..
wish Astrodame could jag a place at those odds...

Sportz 22nd October 2005 03:24 PM

I was out, so I didn't see the Cox Plate. Did the Diva win easily???

I'm pleased with myself now. Made a late decision to include Lotteria in my any2s, quinellas & trifectas. :)

TheAvenger 22nd October 2005 03:26 PM

Won by 1 1/4 lengths. What a great horse. Good picks tonight. Thanks.

Damn, I reckon I must have jinxed Sarrera by including it in the tipping comp. :(

maverick1993 22nd October 2005 10:30 PM

A few for tomorrow..

*Master Dennis..S/C R4...won very very well last start...big show ...cant imagine a price but if they come for the toppy ??
*Sub Rielly.. Cessnock R3...very fast horse..cant see them keeping up with him over the scamper,,,,Just Delphic at odds to go close and add value...

*Duchess Of Light...Mowbray R4.. liked her last run..worked to the line nicely
*Mr Ponsford....Nara R8..maybe ..gets back runs on...might need the run though..

Good Luck all :)

maverick1993 23rd October 2005 02:44 PM

Well Master Dennis was scratched ..be aiming at something a bit better than todays ordinary race..
Subrielly got up .. 1 for 1 today ..hope you guys jumped on board..not flash odds but a winner is a winner..

will have a slab on mr Ponsford alittle later and Kings Arch in the cup..

mad 23rd October 2005 03:06 PM

mad 23rd October 2005 03:45 PM

SR7 No 5 lived up to its name!

maverick1993 23rd October 2005 09:40 PM

A couple for tomorrow.

*Rebelette ... lismore r3...In fine form..she's holding it very well and the quick back up must mean she's thriving. Doesnt run a bad race and is well weighted..won at the track...not sure in the wet..prepared to jump off slow or worse.

* Fresh Cream ..lis r7.. good horse that i've followed for awhile..solid return to racing last start and gets to a more suitable distance..good barrier , good jock..will be hard to beat..should be able to handle the wet also..

others to consider...Hoplite, Light of Demus, Lancasters Gold..

Good Luck :)

"Benella ! Ben-ella!!!....?????"

Oaksnaf, mate......... I'm a BenALLA boy and I take offence at your typo

As a little history lesson- Benalta was the original name of the town, but when it was sent to the registry where some peanut forgot to cross the "t" and hence from that day to this it has been known as BenaLLa.......

Hey Oak - you ever work for the government? (LOL )
