Race 6 - I backed 7 TOLO last start and he was disappointing. May give him another chance today, but my top pick is 2 BARRICADES.

I to have been waiting for Corect Amoondo, looked home half way up the straight last start, does seem a hard ask from the wide gate, and runs into a potential star.
Fingers crossed Graphical finds trouble!

Yep, the pressure of chasing Graphical from the outside barrier was just too much for him. Never mind, I still think there's a race for Correct Amoondo somewhere soon. Graphical was always the obvious choice for the race and in the end, the odds about him weren't too bad. As I said, he's flying at the moment.

Thanks Mate..... I went the saver tri of 1,6-1,4,5,6,7-F for $20 (31.25%)

= $687.34

OMG ! the 1/4 would have been $930.51 ($20 = 4.4%)

Do you take the field for 3rd ?

Well done Stix. No, I didn't get the trifecta. I did however have the quinella (tiny by comparison I know) and the 7/field any2 was handy with the roughie getting 3rd.

Well, in the end, a pretty easy trifecta to get in the 1000 guineas. I took 11,7,1 - 3,9,4.

Can anybody tell me where Beauty Watch and Empress Lily finished. It sounded like they were disappointing.

Not sure where Empress Lilly finished, but apparently Dean Lester talked to Nick Ryan after the race and he was impressed with the run and said it was a good Oaks trial......

Yeah, I've just seen the official placings and Empress Lily was 6th and Beauty Watch 8th. Expected a bit more from Beauty Watch, but anyway I think they'll both be better suited at Flemington.

Also have Our Blitz in Race 6 and R7 Cyclone Dame (altho seems to need a longer distance) and Wild Frankie in R8...sorry guys these are really looking for value bbs also to include in tris...Will be catching up on videos etc by next Wednesday...also Western Spur does not start this Thursday at Northam but might get a run next Thursday or following Sunday..fingers crossed :)

Zilcho for me today :(

HAvent seen the video yet of the race..but he finished well off them..didnt like the odds and with the scratchings wouldnt of helped the tempo Marnier needs so i shouldnt of been betting in the first place... silly boy..
also had a bet on Rotoga .i see it finished 2nd...,not sure of the run yet ...

Oh well cant win them all,,always tomorrow :)

My horses for tomorrow

*Danzavite ,,Armidale r5...was on this horse last start where he got to far back in a leader dominated race..made a stack of ground and this race looks easier...always a little funny these Aprentice races ...but i should get e/w odds here....

I like We Can't say that in the Moe cup...looks well placed against this lot of hurdlers and inconsistent horses...also have Monte Flyer in the last at Hawksbury..jumping up into a pretty good field..but won very very well last start and is right up to these...
will see what value i can get with these 2..

WILL IT REIGN SUNSHINECOAST R7 No.4 (Barrier 12)
Ran at Rockhampton over 1000m, when blundered the start, was beaten 1 length by Hard Wood Forest ($26), when $2,80 favourite. Has had only win over this distance, so extra 200m on last run will be ideal.

The class of horses in this field is better, so hope to get a good price ($9 pre-post). Has Yoshida for the first time and is consistent (53% placing), but win strike rate is poor 1 of 13 (should have been 2 of 13).

Having said that......I will be covering myself and probably going 1 x 2

(I know.... I know..... if I'm so confident why don't I go the nose..... Well, given he SHOULD HAVE won last start.... I still think this is a more difficult assignment....... time will tell !)

Main Dangers are:
3 Epsom Races (1)
2 Milliardare (10)
1 Let's Devower (11)
5 Daneland (4)
6 Royalton (2)

Coming off a good day yesterday, I will be having a small crack at the local Moe races, nothing too big as there aren't many horses that stick out as good things.

So far today I've got:

Free trip to Las Vegas is back for (i think) any trainer who can win the big one and two minor races. Lee Freedman is favourite with We Can't Say That in the cup and other rides including Colonel Mustard.

Interesting to note that Royalton beat star in the making MATRAS at his second start at Geelong. You would think that it has its fair share of ability?

..... you might think that..... he was a 16-1 outsider, at his second start (both learing the game!)........ and he's also been shipped of to the middle of nowhere - IMO he really doesn't look (to me anway) like he can string 2 together..... like I said time will tell....

I love flexi betting...i've recently opened a Nsw tab account because of it..

up here in Qld for tris and 1st4's ect we have to go whole, 1/2 or 1/4

way easier just to say number 2 with the field for $50 or whatever and get whatever that percentage works out to be.. i love it..

and i was glad just getting Danzavite into 2nd for a nice place collect..
doubled and little bit more my money today so i'm happy..would of been nice if he won...16 the win....cant be to greedy though..

We Can't Say that was horrible value..as with Monte Flyer..and they both took my $20 for the last time..also had a lazy 20 on Sportz fav horse Bono but i can never catch him...

Flexibetting is offered by NSWTAB (next year in VIC - all going to plan!!) for exotic betting (trifecta's / First 4's and Quaddies)





1. You select the numbers you want
e.g. 10 Horses in race 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10


You pick 1,2 for first, 1,2,3,4,5 for second and field for third
Cost would be $64.00 for $1 unit

2. But if you only want to spent $16 on your bet then IF IT WINS you get 25% of the final dividen i.e. $16/$64 = 25%


3. Say the final dividend for the Trifecta (lucky numbers are 1-5-9) is $400.00 then you get 25% OR $100.00.....

So instead of going 1/2 of full units you can go a % of the final cost - what ever you can afford !!

Same principle applies for First 4's and Quaddies..... good luck!

Mav, We Can't Say That is ONLY to be backed on wet tracks (preferably VERY wet tracks). As soon as I saw that the Moe track was upgraded to dead, I left it alone completely. Similarly, in the stronger class of field that it was racing today, I also wanted a wet track for Bono, so I left it alone as well.

Didn't end up backing it at that price..... figured the market was right in that field (maybe next time!?)

Had a go at the tri and Got the tri (boxed)...... but no retirement in it ! (LOL)

Yep could of saved myself $40....hard when your not sitting on the puter ..

fingers crossed and i'll soon be able to go full time.. :) how fun will that be ..

in the Cup i loved the run of otto ,,,huge run..might of won with clear passage...booker for sure..

Moggs is racing tomorrow at Wagga ,,looks well placed here ..still not sure what happened last start .when they decided to race on the Synthetic for the first time...did he choose to be scratched as he had this as plan b ??..not sure.. either way this isnt a hard race and i can't find any real competition but i'm guessing he'll be fairly short ...

Spalding wagga r2 ..another maiden but i'm game..i'd need good odds but this horse looks to be improving..last start was good first up ..condition told in the last 100..should be fitter now and ready..not many other chances here besides the top weight imo but i'm still hopefull of getting backable odds..

Paris Flyer in the Cup at Taree...how consistent is this horse..not sure of the distance but will get a good run here so should see it out .. just loves the track good Jock and barrier...i like the one week backup here and its quite obvious the trainer has targeted this race..
of course the toppy will be hard to beat ..robbo is always scary to take on but he is up in weight from his good win the other day..but deserves it after racing so well .i'm hoping the fresher legs of Paris and the weight diff is the telling factor..

So i'll be picking 2 out of these 3...so far with my new approch 4 winning days from 6 .. very happy and it looks like i'm getting that consistancy that has eluded me in the past..
