crap

Sportz 8th October 2005 10:43 AM

ROSEHILL
Race 1 - I like 1 STEFLARA & 5 RETAIL THERAPY here. I think one of the two should win, but the odds may not be great though.
Race 3 - I'm keen on 6 SKY RIGHT , but it seems so is everyone else. The current odds are ridiculous.
Race 4 - Tough race for me as I have 4 horses that I really like: 1 DOUBLOON, 5 SHARNA MYST, 9 FLYING ALPHA & 10 DANISIERRA. I'll probably be looking for value amongst that lot and coupling them up in multiples somehow.
Race 5 - A wide open race but I think 5 AMIANAN & 7 LEDGER are both good chances. Perhaps couple them up with 2, 3, 8 & 11 in multiples, but take care because as I said, it's an open race.
Race 6 - I do like 5 INNINGS here, but I must say that I don't usually like backing horses at their 2nd start after a great first start win. A lot of them don't seem to go on with it. For that reason, I'll be treading warily if I decide to bet here.
Race 7 - 7 KOSI BAY is top pick here, especially each way. Unlucky last start. Dangers are 3 GUNFIRE MESSIAH & 1 COALESCE . Perhaps include 4, 5 & 6 somewhere for the multiples.
Race 8 - Not keen on these races shorter than 1200m, but I think 7 BROMIDE & 8 FORESTRINO are both worth perhaps a little each way. If you take multiples, you should include 11, 5, 6 & 1.
Race 9 - Again a tough race, but maybe a small bet on 5 NEWTON'S RINGS & 10 MR UBIQUITOUS.

Best bet:
Race 3 - 6 SKY RIGHT
Each Way:
Race 7 - 7 KOSI BAY

Sportz 8th October 2005 11:38 AM

CAULFIELD
Race 2 - If the odds are good, I may have something small each way on 3 PURPLE CHOCOLATE & 5 ELECTRIC GENERAL here.
Race 3 - 1 JADESCENT is the obvious here and really should win all things being equal. Couple her up with 2, 3, 5, 7 & 9 in multiples.
Race 4 - Won't be doing much here as I don't like these 1000m scampers. 10 MISS MOONEY MOONEY could be worth a small each way bet though.
Race 5 - I'm keen on 12 LEICA FALCON here. A very promising stayer. Any number of horses in with a chance for the multiples, so I'd advise you to watch the weather and the betting. If it rains, you should especially look at 2, 5, 7 & 8 and if it's dry, 3, 6, 7 & 13
Race 6 - I'm a big fan of 6 EL SEGUNDO, but I think the race will suit 3 PERLIN far better, so I'll probably back them both and include 4, 2 & 1 for the multis.
Race 7 - Keen on 7 GOD'S OWN here, especially each way. His form is perfect for this. I think the dangers are 4 PERFECTLY READY, 5 RED DAZZLER & 6 APACHE CAT. That's leaving out Paratroopers, but if the track isn't as bad as I suspect, then he could most certainly win. Word of warning. This race has been a good one for roughies in previous years, so who knows.
Race 8 - If it rains, I'll be very keen on 3 OUR SMOKING JOE each way here. Even if it's dry, he still has a good chance. I also think that 1 SUPER KID will end up being good odds and could be a good gamble. I'll be looking at numbers 1, 2, 3, 9 & 11 here and hoping for some value. Again, as with the Guineas, it's a race where roughies can get up, so beware.
Race 9 - 3 AQUA D'AMORE . I've been waiting for her to resume. She's been trialling very well and has an impecable first up record. 2 CRIMSON REIGN is the main danger and perhaps look at 2, 4, 10, 11 & 13 for multis.

Best Bet:
Race 3 - 1 Jadescent
Each Way:
Race 7 - 7 God's Own

Yeah, the odds about this one today were just stupid. I was hoping for $2.50 at the very least.

Sportz 8th October 2005 01:52 PM

Well, today just proves why I don't usually like to pick out single "best bets". 4 out of 4 down the gurgler, 3 finished 2nd and Just The Star was terrible. :o

In any case, I had a good win with Leica Falcon. He's very promising. :)

Desi 8th October 2005 01:58 PM

Nope. Left it alone and very glad I did. I don't know why it happens, but if a horse has a very impressive win at their first career run, they often flop at their second. Must take too much out of them I guess.

Unbelievable. I only got to hear the race, but as I was on another, I have to admit at smiling a couple of times during the race "knowing" that one of the main dangers was beaten.

Would love to see the race, but doubt it is possible....

w924 9th October 2005 04:05 AM

I don't know. $31.30 makes up for a LOT of losers! Well done. :)

Sportz 9th October 2005 10:15 AM

Our old mate Blue Collar Jack is running around at Kilmore today. Beaten 4 lengths last time, but still not a bad effort. He has a good chance today.

KILMORE
Race 6 - 3 BLUE COLLAR JACK, 8 Prince Eiram, 1 Belzain (3,8,1,6,4)

gday sportz i think you will find this is race 7 not 6

have you got anything else you like today i alwways follow your tips closely and has won me a dollar or two over the time

cheers

maverick1993 9th October 2005 12:20 PM

Have a few running around te traps today..but as per my rule..only the best 2 will do ..
*Caulfield Jim..Kilmore r8 ...this horse won for me very well over in WA ..interesting he's over this way..races well first up and is an improving type and they might under estimate his WA form ...should get nice e/w odds...he's eligible for easier races and to start him 1stup in this race they must be fairly confident.
just checked the odds,,and The dam tab has tipped him on top,,means he'll be no value...would want 8's atleast..
if not i'd rather Back Moggs at Canberra r8 at 4's or better..

*Sigrun .. S/C r7 ... improving type..unlucky last time and looks a million dollars..Pattilo rides well here and suits this style of the run on horse..

other i'll be having play bets with,,,I'll wait, Reclaim, Moggs,Cellay,Lair,

good luck all ..

ps..how boring is motor sport..for godsake someone crash..

Desi 9th October 2005 01:34 PM

Have some BBers running at Northam today...good luck!!

R1 Mikis Protector, Mavericks Honour

R2 Jemarnica, The Lady Drives

R3 Sir Viv**

R4 The Mighty Boosh*

R6 Steel Metal*, Shake Your Bon Bon

R7 The Boyfriend, Stomper and The Quiz Master*

:)

Yes, that's right. Race 7.

I'm sorry, but I don't really have much that I'm keen on today. There are a few that I like, but there seem to be question marks over them, and there are some pretty tough races today. Also, I had a very good day yesterday and I guess I don't want to risk spoiling it by betting too much today. Blue Collar Jack has been very good to me, so I'm prepared to give him another go today. :)

Actually, my best bet all day today was Drizzle for a place in Kilmore R6, but I didn't think anyone would be interested in a place bet. And if you didn't mind short odds, I thought Willy Leica and Fox Lake were both certainties, but no prizes for picking them.

By the way, Paul Harvey has 4 rides at Northam today, and I'm pretty keen on him in R4 & R6. Might not be great odds though.

Sportz 9th October 2005 02:27 PM

Hey, look at Hong Kong R2-12. :)

Sportz 9th October 2005 02:29 PM

Good old Jack! :D

maverick1993 9th October 2005 03:15 PM

Well done Sportz...old jacks been good to you...easiest $60 i've made for awhile,,

Glad i jumped off Caulfield jim...flew home ..but at that price i couldnt have him..he must be showing alot on the training track though and worth following..Gauci great in front but from behind i dont think he has the timing..
Sigrun's run was huge aswell,,a loss for me but i was impressed the way it stuck on after travelling wide the whole way..not the jocks fault he just couldnt get in..

Looks like i'm on Moggs in the last at Canberra ..
fingers crossed :)

mad 9th October 2005 03:30 PM

Just checked my e-mail and have two runners today,

QR8 Latin Tango
CR8 Cherine

maverick1993 9th October 2005 03:36 PM

thanks Mad...another $60 for the kitty,,, :)

maverick1993 9th October 2005 03:39 PM

huge odds about Cherine..i'll put $20 on it so i get my money back if Moggs loses..
good luck.

mad 9th October 2005 03:46 PM

Exactly, gotta be worth $5 e/w for a bit of fun if nothing else.

Having a look at the last at Sunshine, what ya reckon Mazatan and Empire Burlesque in an any2?

Don't know either horse but might have a little dabble.

Sportz 9th October 2005 03:48 PM

Yeah, great win. :D

And take note of two others from down there with form around Blue Collar Jack. That's Zipping and Correct Amoondo. Zipping won again today and should continue to win races and Correct Amoondo was scratched today, but I think there should be a race for him soon.

I wish I had put a little each way on another horse that's been good to me lately.... All Pressure $24 in the Horsham Cup. Would have been nice.

maverick1993 9th October 2005 03:52 PM

Empire looks to have some ability...in traffic last start and still won..
thought Mav could run a race..that Pope has a habit of winning the last race on his home track,,..
4/1,2,5 for a tri 3 times..$2 on the 4,5 exacta..

looks like I'm struggling to get 4's about Moggsy..

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:00 PM

Petrol head in the next is as honest as they come. been good to me ..just can never draw a barrier..will lead and that might be a good thing on this funny track,,
worth a slab anyway..

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:08 PM

funny track,,try synthetic track now,,,,will be saving my money in the last now...but i still think it will suit Petrol head in the next....interesting to see how it plays..

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:17 PM

You got the Any2 mad ..well done..3.80 is better than a poke in the eye.

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:19 PM

this must be a first in OZ ?? the synthetic track,,,I think Petrol Head is trained on the track so you'd think he'd be used to it....

mad 9th October 2005 04:28 PM

Thanks Mav, no beans on toast for me tonight - LOL. Cherine runs a place might have beer and a steak!

Poor old petrol head had to go via the carpark, ran on well though. Keep an eye on him me thinks.

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:35 PM

kept my eye on him now for ages..hes drawn 2 good barriers in his 16 starts..he's cursed...got me a huge trifecta once when he did finally win so i feel i owe him,,i just wish he'd draw barrier oneday soon or i'll be giving it all back,,
funny track..sort of like a good dirt track,,,,, how do you rate that..
Sullivans creek has shortened a heap..huge run last time...but drawing wide on this skinny track is tough ..just ask Petrol head...
will stick with Moggs for about 4 slabs and a tri with number 1/2,3,5 ..all my winnings with my play bets today..doesnt make up for Sigrun another one of my runners who went the carpark route....but i can take a loss...i'm used to it :)

maverick1993 9th October 2005 04:40 PM

lol ...now Moggs is scratched....Go Cherine e/w ..i'm with you Mad..
3/2,5,6 for the tri...
looks like i'll be eating your beans and toast tonight Mad....do i get tomato sauce with that ??

mad 9th October 2005 04:40 PM

The **************s scratched Moggs to reduce the field size.

mad 9th October 2005 04:42 PM

Pentup is a worry, might be a saver situation.

Sportz 9th October 2005 04:42 PM

Moggs is one of the late scratchings. How do they work out which two miss out???
