Came out in front today, but with so many dead down here [around 40 so far, including kids] from the fires, there was no joy in any wins as many lives certainly didn't come out in front. Yesterday was 46 degrees and it was like being in a pizza oven outside. Lots of smoke and ashes here at the lakes but we were luckily and not really threatened. Hope I never see a day like that again.

66 dead and climbing now [worse than ash Wednesday].
Scores found dead in cars on roads trying to flee at the last moment. Many burn victims unlikely to survive.

on the punt today i lost a stack but embarrassed to whinge about it with all this tragedy going on.. (87 dead ??)
