Total outlay $100, returned $64
Balance $466.
Monday
Murwillumbah Race 7 no 1 $10w $40P
DEVINE ETOILE has been very close in last couple of attempts his turn may come tomorrow. Colless only has a few rides there and would expect him to get some results. Hpefully not too short.

maverick1993 17th July 2005 06:51 PM

I like him aswell Luv2 ...Divine etoile won't be any flash odds though..would want 3's ...Like the Filantes at the moment ..

Check out Petrol Head at odds in Albury...has been unlucky the last few runs,,,deserves a change of luck and might sneak under the radar..

Written By A King at Moe (not to wet) distance suits forget last run...
Shower Of Champers ...been consistent ..not a overly impressive horse but doesnt have to beat much here..

Good luck :)

seems Melbourne has been hard for all of us..

I in turn backed Secret Recording at big odds and was less then a length away from top horses like Dismissal and Valedictum. Today he meets a field full of country class, resuming stayers, or past there prime geriatrics and looks far to classy now i know the track is heavy. Drops back from 1300 to 1100 but is a multiple winner at the distance and the bog track always suits horses looking for further. Should be good speed in the race from the likes of Hunter Hermitage and Bella Jinsky and he should park just of them peel out at the 500 and say see ya later.

$3 looks a fair price in my book. As you can see i like my favorites, but finding the true favorites is half the battle i certainly think this deserves the honor.

Cheers ED

Mazunda puts the weekend in the black (just), one that should have had me wearing the Yellow, Green, White, and Polka Dot jerseys all at once. Shows how blessed we were with Secret Recording L2B, Judusk never got near Mazunda today.

Nice winner on Friday too L2B, had a little bit on him so cheers, yeh sorry about In Hot Pursuit never got near them.

Great tipping on the other thread Mav, you look to have brissie sussed. Did you unload on General Conclusion? It looked very well placed.

maverick1993 18th July 2005 01:34 PM

Hey Guys ..nothing much happening today ,, Go Divine etoile :)
Showers and Champers already ran and won yesterday (doh) ..
oh well you snooze you lose ..Had a lazy weekend after a hectic saturday arvo ...just had Meterorite the one bet for the day on Sunday..saw that Simonde at odds finished close up 2nd..would of been ripping my hair out if he'd of won at those odds..

Yes Mr Ed..seem to be going alright in brissie....my big goes for the day were Yubi, Picablu (so Close) Aerated , Zip zip aray and General Conclusion

Aerated being the big one...the tri paid so well..

Got lucky in Brissie i thought...in the 2nd race when emit time was scratched i had an e/w on Startled Hunter and La Montagna and got lucky..thing is i never had Nik Nak Noee in my tri ,.,,and kicking myself for it..i was alittle rushed after the Scratchings and just forgot about him down the bottom there....
After reviewing the Saturday...that trifecta i missed and why the hell i jumped off Cellar Edition are the things that bug me the most..when i tipped Cellar edition last start i stated that people under estimate this horse,,and that exactly what i did...i usually follow my stable when the horse is in form ..
....??? ...and the last race in brissie was good in the end but could of been way better..

Another thing that bugged me on Saturday was the last at the Gold Coast....i knew renouf would struggle the 1300m...i picked the obvious class horse Stormcat Academy but what i should of done was backed a few in this race,,with Beamer being the next class wise...
why renouf was odds on ..surprises me,,

Desert ransom seems to be missing something ....he loomed up but then faded..maybe he was one run short,,,liked Fangio's run..as well,,,will keep an eye on these 2..

Well done Mr Ed on Mazunda..

maverick1993 18th July 2005 03:49 PM

On ya Luv2bet ,...hope every one was on !!
have the tri 50 times ..:) .....
dont know what its paying yet but woohoo anyway ..

maverick1993 18th July 2005 03:52 PM

$3.13 for the win ..
$63.12 for the tri ...holy sh#t ..

Happy days :)

Thanks Luv2bet your a genuius

luv2bet 18th July 2005 04:13 PM

Well done Mav, nice trifecta there, I thought the first 4 was pretty straightforward as well for a decent return. Hope a few got on.
Devine etoile had it won before they straightened in my opinion, great ride by colless, easy win. Im glad it won because I went all out on win only, I dont do that very often, was pretty confident though.
Outlay $50. Return $91. Balance $507.
Tuesdays racing.
Taree Race 7 no 1 GUNPOINT. $10 w $30p
Placed both tries at this distance, form is good and up against an ordinary lot here, should be in the money. Anything above 3.50 would be good value.
Dont mind hurricane annie in race 5 either, forget his last run not up to city standards but the run before that on this track was pretty convincing. See what the odds are before I committ to that one though.
Good luck All.

maverick1993 18th July 2005 04:29 PM

I was Ias bet today this arvo doing some sports multis and forgot the race was a first 4 race !!! Doh ..
your right would of been easy to get ..had it equally rated at 4th with French master..
Wish IAs bet would get 1st4..
Have a few runners running around tomorrow ...will post them later..still doing the form..lets see if the luck on this thread continues...

gazman 18th July 2005 04:37 PM

goooooooooddd work

well, done lu2...the best i got $3.2 dont no were you fond the $3.5 mav,you must be stoked getting the tri that many times.cheers gaz..

maverick1993 18th July 2005 04:45 PM

Nahh got 3.12 on Ias super price...was paying 3.50 at one stage...not sure what the fixed price was as i was doiing other stuff,,,,
great ride ..thought anything above $3 was value..

Desi 18th July 2005 06:41 PM

Just want to say great work guys and thanks for getting me into the pluses big time Mav (have been working out a rating system and combining your picks with mine) lol...wife thinks Im a genius...if only she knew!!!

maverick1993 18th July 2005 06:43 PM

Kilmore
Cathy Come Home ...this is a horse thats been slowly improving with each run...breeding suggests that the 1900m might be a plus...i actually owned the full brother to this horse at onestage so i know the breed well..
theres nothing much in this race but i'm still hoping for good odds..
DannyBoy..
This is another breeding thing...this horse has been solid but never tried over alittle distance..hes out of Atalaq mare so the 1900m could be what hes waiting for....would'nt want the track to be heavy..
Grey Danz..
McEvoy will have him ready to go here...he'll be bigger and stronger here and a good chance against this lot..
Taree
TonzaFire ..this horse has had problems...but her last run was full of merit...should get the lead here and be hard to catch,,

Not overly excited about anything today but hoping for some value..

Mafia Don and Sweet Tiffany are horses i've followed before but i thought Mafia Don had his chance last start and Sweet Tiffany although speedy might struggle with the weight...both won't be any value anyway so will leave them alone..

Good Luck guys :)

maverick1993 18th July 2005 06:48 PM

Good on ya Desi..
real team effort around here of late ...
lets hope it all continues...some nice races around on Wednsday very excited about a couple of them..

Tubby 18th July 2005 07:04 PM

Congrats on your tipping lately Maverick. I particularly like how you back them up with a snippet to explain your thought processes.

I will hopefully start trying similar soon but because I use statistics a bit I often find that I can tell why I think something will win but not necessarily what will challenge it. It means that I miss things that might have had a bad run last time out etc. Do you use videos Mav?

Mr ed 18th July 2005 09:36 PM

Hoping they race at Kilmore tommorow. Oakpark Shannon is in my book for a great run 2 starts back at Wang when post very wide the whole way and still accelerated well when asked to just fail. Last start she ran on well again at Geelong for third, the outside rail was the place to be that day and the two horses that beat her both finished to her right. She is better suited here over a bit further, and does handle bad going. She's drawn 12 which might not be the case with a few scratchings expected, but by the end of the day the outside might be the place to be. Tommorow race looks a handy field but she's a handy mare and should be right there with the 3kg claim.

Try and get a winner for Mav and L2B, who are doing the thread proud with a great display of form analysis.

Cheers ED

Well done. Good run. A bit unlucky and good odds too. A nice div for the field any2 with the longshot coming 3rd.

maverick1993 19th July 2005 03:38 PM

Thanks Sportz,,,just saw the replay ...would've been nice but she just got held up...oh well there goes our chance now...she'll be short next start..
Had 3 bets today
e/w's on Cathy ..Tonzofire and Grey Danz....a loss of $62 for the day ...but you cant win them all
I'm glad i stayed away from Sweet Tiffany...trying to find something to beat Mafia Don but i just dont know the horses all that well.....
they all look hopeless ..cant even find an improver...maybe the well bred Horseguards ? just dont know ...
easy trifecta in Tonzafire's race..dam ..bit lazy today..
Grey danz first up on the heavy was always goig to be hard should of stayed away from it....knew it was an open race ,,pickd the wrong roughie...should of backed Moor..hes been good to me in the past...

Big day tomorrow :)

Tubby...yes use video religiously .. i dont know how anyone can do without it ..

maverick1993 19th July 2005 04:00 PM

Mention Horseguards and it throws the jockey...maybe the Gods of races were trying to tell me something..
Sweet Tiffany and Mafia Don would of been would of been a good lays....maybe its easier picking lossers ??

maverick1993 19th July 2005 08:41 PM

A few runner tomorrow..
Sydney
Race 1,
Magic Tuppence...was only 3 lengths off Oh Oklahoma last start on a slow track which didnt seem to suit..the run before ran good time from a mile back...the 1200m look like it suits and with a few smart ones in this race could be some value..
Race 3.
Lancaster Park... heaps of speed on in this race,,will suit him ..never runs a bad race..should of won behind Micasa ....needs a good track ,, the distance is in his favour......very confident.
Race 4.
Solomons Seal...good run last start....has a good jockey on board won for me last start so will stick with him.....not much weight and the flashy Miss Rainmaker is resuming..maybe a risk..
Race 5.
Raffin Glow is a horse i've backed before....very honest horse that's always consistant..didnt like the slow last start,,but on a good surface is a good e/w
because he puts himself in the race..
Ipswich.
Race 6.
Merry Pierce....a good horse this one,,has a bit of weight but isnt racing against much here..hopefully she doesnt lead this but drops out the back and storms home...hopefully gets to $4 if they risk her because of the weight..
Race 8.
Mrs Morty..Doesnt win much but against this lot,,has a big chance..has competed against some good horses ...i like the 6's in the sportsman..
Gawler.
Race 4.
Lair...poor old Lair...has a shocking alley but the distance suits...deserves to break through.....needs aour support guys..lets all put $1 on for good luck..
Weeribee. (i havent a hope)
Race 5.
Finlayson... very consistant and in good form..
Race 6.
Manchester Boy.....good last couple of runs...good jockey..

Good Luck guys... :)

luv2bet 19th July 2005 08:56 PM

Hard day at the office, backed gunpoint didnt see the race but a mate said he got slaughtered early and pulled out of the race??? ******** happens....
Been flat out only the one bet today but seen oakpark shannon got a place there Ed, decent divvie for the place.. Was going to back cathy come home but missed it, good result there too. Hurricane annie would of showed a small profit as well but no damage done.
Tommorow looks good. Im off to gawler confident.
Fine tuning a few races will post my picks later..
LUV2BET

Mr ed 19th July 2005 09:12 PM

Nice run by Cathy there Mav @ good odds, was a little unlucky but really don't think it would have beat the winner. Sorry again guys about Oakpark, she was a top run after leading and being gassed by pressure the whole way, only finished a length or so behind the winner and can win in similar class soon.

Had a little to on Alpha Centauri through its Miss Starnee formlines, she was a great run after missing the kick and being scrubbed along to catch up the whole way, she'll be short odds next time she goes around however so just using her great run to reinforce my opinion of Miss Starnee who goes around on Saturday @ Morphettville.

luv2bet 20th July 2005 07:05 AM

No time for explanations today, running late sorry guys.
Gawler race 7 no 1 cash the chips.
Gawler race 3 no 6 Beograd. (know people involved annods map would like to see that win for them, at massive odds)
Werribee race 4 no 5 Coastal waters. Nice e/w odds make this my bet of the day.
Good luck to all.

luv2bet 20th July 2005 11:14 AM

Canterbury 4 miss rainmaker. first up, go very well

Wow..i know how to stop them in Melbourne..0 for 2 ..lol ..
I need help here guys ..

stopping them fairly well everywhere today actually...thank god for Raffin Glow ..nice place collect and tri...just missed again with the first 4 if raffin glow gets 2nd i'd of got it...frustrating,,,..

and Lair !!! poor old lair..hope you guys were on and supporting the poor fellow..had 200 e/w ..talked myself into him i think..but thats 2 decent place collects hes given me..he'll never win..another wencelas square :)....bit i'm going to keep supporting him out of pity..

left Merry Peirce alone bit short with that weight ..great run though..but i've doubled up on Mrs Morty..(bit scary)

Lost heavily on Lancaster Pk and Solomons Seal..
good run by Solomons seal..thought lancaster pk had every chance..the race was handed to him ..but hes just not good enough..

Forgot that Albury is on today..have Petrol Head in the next..has been unlucky..hopefully will be nice e/w odds..

hopefully will get one of them home ..go Mrs Morty and Petrol head ..
or else it'll be 2 days in row with a loss :(

wheres that pixie dust ..

maverick1993 20th July 2005 02:58 PM

Some nice work there Sportz,,,,good to see your tips again ..

maverick1993 20th July 2005 03:22 PM

pressure on Mrs Morty ...(fingers crossed)

maverick1993 20th July 2005 03:41 PM

:( ,,, cant leave your run that late at Ipswich young fellow..Great ride on Umaprince .....stupid race to be betting in anyway..lol
lost 600 today.....and thats with the 2700 win on Raffin Glow..
not a go outside and hang myself day but still a shocker ..

always tomorrow :)

Sportz 20th July 2005 03:45 PM

Yeah, I thought Regal Cheer and Assertive Choice were both real good things today. In the end, I backed my 7 top picks for 5 wins and a nice 3rd with Flighty which I had each way, so a good day for me.

Mr ed 20th July 2005 03:54 PM

Very nice work there Sportz.

Very excited about a couple tommorow so will tweak the form and post selections later on.

maverick1993 20th July 2005 04:01 PM

Good Work Sportz,,,

Thought Miss Rainmaker was a risk today and was proven right.....probably my only good pick of the day...
Galieni was awesome ..didnt give anything a look in..i think My Ryan is in for a good spring....
Need a few beers its to hard on the heart having 4000 running around on a weekday ..

Grand Merlot and Maewest tomorrow at Northam are in the book,,,,also have colourband at wyong...only looking at these 3 tonight...

Hope you guys had a better day than me..
wish you'd post your tips earlier sportz...i need all the help i can get in Melbourne..

Mr ed 20th July 2005 04:28 PM

Mav or anyone, if you've got the tapes and the time, try doing the form on geelong Rc 1. I think it's a great betting race and it would be great if we could converse on our selections.

Sorry Mav, I was going to post them earlier, but I was busy working on the Fantasy Racing competition.

boxhead 20th July 2005 06:01 PM

Mav,
Will tipped a few nice ones- could have helped.
cheers

Mr ed 21st July 2005 01:17 AM

I really like Lemon And Sars in the first tommorow, it's three runs in have all been good, and the form has stacked up very nicely. Three starts back it ran second to Change of Class who has gone right on winning his last 4 starts including a romping at the Valley last Saturday, so all things being equal she is unlucky to still be a Maiden. Her next start was at Bendigo where she was a little dissapointing, but almost dead heated for a low position with Gracious Curves who strolled in at Geelong over this distance last week and would start short odds here. Her run when fourth behind Saayers was a real eye catcher, she had all the favors along the fence but still made very nice ground from last and looks like she'll be improved over further and with a bit more fitness. Tommorows field has some very interesting runners however, mainly Light After Dark, who was sensationally backed on a heavy track on debut and failed to deliver behind Daaditsi, the stable is not often wrong and the better track tommorow could see a new horse. Another i liked the debut 2 starts ago of was Monacaird when fourth to Ragsac, that was a good race and he got to the line even though he had all the favors, he should continue to improve and is a danger. Don't rate the class of the others races to highly and if any eachway odds are available for Lemon and Sars they should be seriously considered, will also be boxing her in the exacta's and trifs with the other 2.

RC 4. Freudian Slip, both runs very encouraging, when still learning to race, she will be a nice horse in six months but the benefit she has taken so far could well see her take tommorows race. Very tough field, not confident of anything other then the fact that she will run well and that Dashkova simply can't win.

maverick1993 21st July 2005 11:54 AM

Thank you Mr Ed...
5/1 winner is a good way to start the day...should quit while i'm ahead but i can't help myself :)

Grand Merlot...been on this horse for a while now and always thought 2000m or further would suit...goes up alot in grade here so i'm hoping for nice e/w odds..
Maewest....this horse has ability and is right in this race..is rock hard fit for this and just needs a clear crack at them in the straight..e/w odds :)
Colourband...look like a class above these...not overly attractive odds here but will win this..won't take odds on..
Cindy Kate..this horse won so well llast start its hard not to follow her....would want atleast 3's or close to it as this is her hardest test..(listen to the replay of her llast win..fantastic call) confident here..
Lord Luccan ..has been racing well and with the claim should win this..might even get 4's if they gamble with him....like him alot..

6 bets probably today and almost paid for them with the first one in Geelong...thanks again Mr Ed ..

Probably because the racecaller trains her.

Sportz 21st July 2005 12:48 PM

Damn, I missed out on Lemon and Sars. I always like to see what Mr Ed picks, but too late this time. :(

Good tipping anyway, Ed.

maverick1993 21st July 2005 02:51 PM

I can feel a fourex coming on ..:) ..great call again...its whats racing's all about,,just love it..
Cindy Kate looks smart cant wait to see it come down here in Brissie..
Got 2.70 about her ,,not bad ,,but gave half of it back on Colourband ,,very dissapointing..

thinking about Shivirgo in the cup....last time it ran around the 1400m it finished just off Uncle Shamos who was flying at that stage..beat the smart devil that day as well,,looks like its atleast worth a e/w..

I'm ahead for the day ..woohoo :) ..with 3 bets to go ...feeling good ...
just need a collect to make up for the last 2 days..

any thoughts anyone on Shivirgo ??
