mad 23rd September 2005 04:49 PM

Yep,

Don't look now Sportz, but have a look at the last race!

Typical.

Sportz 23rd September 2005 04:59 PM

Mad,

I actually backed them both in the last race (and in R6 as well), but I didn't include either of those races in the tips I posted on here.

mad 23rd September 2005 05:16 PM

That's good news - at least you'll get something out of today. I'm hoping Moonee Valley will save me tonight. Will follow your jockey suggestion a little more closely in the future, thanks.

Silver_and_sand 23rd September 2005 05:18 PM

Hey Sportz,

I noticed Ryan's 3 wins and 2 places today come in races between 900m to 1400m. Probably just coincidence, but interesting.

Good luck tomorrow.

Very disappointing, didn't even fire a shot

Stix 23rd September 2005 07:22 PM

Pretty Good

hey mad

The winner was pretty special...... No harm in that.

I Like Red Dazzler and Maybe Better in the next.... prepared to take on Stratum.... soon see i guess..

stix

Sportz 23rd September 2005 07:29 PM

Yep, I actually thought the price about Rewaaya was pretty good. Only needed average luck to win.

Sportz 23rd September 2005 07:32 PM

I posted this on another thread. I suppose I'd better post it here as well.

In the first 3 races I had:
R1 - 1 Nicholas & 6 Prince Of Scribes
R2 - 6 King Alfred & 7 Rokocoko
R3 - 4 REWAAYA* (4 - 1,2,5)

Nothing in the 4th. From here on in, I've tipped:
R5 - 4 MAYBE BETTER, 1 Stratum, 3 Red Dazzler (4,1,3,13 - 2,6)
R6 - 10 EL SEGUNDO* (roughie: 16 Nothin' Leica Win) (10,16,1,8 - 17,2,14)
R7 - 6 MOCK* (6,3,7 - 1,4,8)
R8 - 5 Royal suit & 8 Barsha

Sportz 23rd September 2005 07:45 PM

Well, there you go. What happened to Red Dazzler last start? Anyway, I got the first 4 which was okay. Vision And Power is a handy horse too.

Silver_and_sand 23rd September 2005 08:00 PM

Hey guys. Gotta go with Show Barry in the 6th.

Sportz 23rd September 2005 08:16 PM

He was a good each way bet, S&S. But El Segundo's pretty damn good. I've been following him for a while now. I just hope he can get into the Caulfield Cup. :o

Disappointed with Nothin' Leica Win. I thought she was the 2nd most promising horse in the race. Might have to forget about her.

mad 23rd September 2005 08:17 PM

Go the Dazzler!

Yep no doubting Rewaaya credentials, certainly not now. However expected a better performance from Megadeal - oh well, onwards and upwards. The Red Dazzler win has lifted my spirits, even though i had him second to Maybe Better.

Silver_and_sand 23rd September 2005 08:27 PM

Hey Sportz. El Segundo sure is good. I had him as a selection also, but with the price so short, I didn't bother. Oh well. Yep, shame about Nothin' Leica Win.

Tough to go past Mock in the 7th, though I think his price will be too short.

Stix 23rd September 2005 08:35 PM

Yep... he goes alright !!

You know sometimes Sportz you hear a lot about a horse in the papers/radio/tv/web etc... and it has to win to progress through it's campaign..... that pressure I'm happy to back against everytime... although I did pick him as my best rated.... however you've gotta hand it to him.... he delivered.... which is fantastic for the future.... I love a horse with a constitution.....

I think Mock will do it for us in the next..... let's see

mad 23rd September 2005 08:42 PM

For a bit of fun i'll have a small bit each way on Sipowicz in the last.

Sportz 23rd September 2005 08:46 PM

Yeah, he has a good each way chance. It's an open race.

Silver_and_sand 23rd September 2005 09:02 PM

The horse with the inside barrier has placed in 5 of the 7 races so far tonight. I don't have a selection for race 8, so maybe just go with the inside draw #4 Fusaichi San. Though having said that, both Royal Suit and Sipowicz look good.

Sportz 23rd September 2005 09:12 PM

I decided to keep my profits from earlier in the night and leave the race alone. Lucky I did, because I didn't really consider number 15. Anyway, it wasn't a bad meeting. A few promising horses there tonight.

mad 23rd September 2005 09:13 PM

Bonny Laird?

Didn't see that one coming.

Sipowicz, what happened man?

I'm definitely the kiss of death for the Nags today.
Best of luck fellas, see ya tommorrow - make some $$$$$ at Randwick.
Go the Swans!

Stix 23rd September 2005 09:39 PM

Fridee nite results...

2nd place blues

some pretty good racing there last nite..and fairly true to form I venture to say..Stix well done there..

My first two bets, Zapache and Bodacious Harmony both ran..you guessed it..2nd..great divs for place bettors lol, but no good for me..

Finally broke the 2nds with Fun You Are...a maiden too..how ironic....and I almost didnt back it.... The early 12.00's on Iasbet turned my night into a profit...(don't know if there were any better flucs as I placed all my bets on early)

I always get nervous when my first bet of the day runs 2nd..it has often set the scene for a string of near misses..

Mad ,I was cheering Red Dazzler home for you when my horse didnt fire...nice win.

Grand Final today..Go the Swans

maverick1993 24th September 2005 10:16 AM

Great start Sportz..going to take your picks (as well as Mav, Sven Doomben Wills and the others) to Belmont and make plenty of $$$$$ lol!! Good luck mate for the day...:)

mad 24th September 2005 12:54 PM

Bold move there Sportz, taking Primus ahead of Paratroopers.

Must say i thought about it but after yesterdays performance decided against it. You had testifiable as well, good call - unlucky i suppose.

Like Shania Dane in the 5th and Individual as an e/w chance in the last, otherwise i'm with ya all the way to the.... Bank..... Poorhouse?????????

Bank i hope.
Good luck today all

mad 24th September 2005 12:55 PM

Some nice results there Stix - having a good week, congrats and Giddy Up!

mad 24th September 2005 01:02 PM

Hi w924,

Was nice to see the Dazzler back in form, didn't back him though (Maybe Better). Sums up the day i had yesterday.

I'm with you re: these second place-getters, getting real sick of them. Off to the knackers yard i reckon - only kidding.

Anywho, can't last forever i suppose.
Best of luck today.

mad 24th September 2005 01:04 PM

Regal Cheer..... Grrr

kiwi 24th September 2005 01:30 PM

Oh dear backed Nozi, will the protest be upheld?

Desi 24th September 2005 01:47 PM

Sportz, great work on Mr Celebrity and tri, ex...of course I missed the race so couldnt benefit from your excellent selections...heading off to the track lol so better hope the form continues...:)

mad 24th September 2005 01:48 PM

LMAO

Don't you mean a silly move? :D

I just went for Primus because of the value really. I was expecting it would be paying more than it was. I knew that they would finish 1-2.

Horse Whisperer 24th September 2005 10:07 PM

got a couple ill be having a go at tomorrow thanks to a couple of late wins at doomben today, both at sandown. race 6 no.6 requisite and ill go with one i got off you guys here in the last blue collar jack, looks like it could get this in the "big city"

saratoga samchaz 25th September 2005 03:02 AM

Yeah, Whisperer, I'm looking for the old info on here about Blue Collar Jack. Sportz and Mav (or Stix) both had him last time, and Mav (Stix) had a great re-cap of his race back in March/April, now known as the "Chest Bird" race. I don't know if he can step it up, but there's only one way to find out. Meneef really looked good last week winning over the track (where the outside rail was the only place to be).

Horse Whisperer 25th September 2005 08:32 AM

yeah i got on it the last two starts as well thanks to them, was amazed at the odds it was at last start, couldnt believe how good value it was.
cant see why it cant step up, won pretty easily last two starts but i guess well see :)

Sportz 25th September 2005 11:52 AM

That was actually Mr Ed. He doesn't seem to be about the forum at the moment.

Yep, Blue Collar Jack was going to win that race easily before that incident and out of the race came St Louis Blue, Abitakash, Correct Amoondo and a couple of others who've all gone well since. Correct Amoondo is in this race again today and isn't without a chance. As you said Meneef is one to watch, but you should also consider Zipping. I've been waiting for this one to race. Just a shame it's come up against 3 others that I like. Zipping comes out of another very strong form race last start at Bendigo where he beat Graphical. Graphical came out during the week and won by 8 lengths.

Not sure what to do. I like Zipping for the race, but I certainly can't leave out Blue Collar Jack which has been so good to me. And as you said, Meneef was impressive last start. 8 & 1 both have good place chances too. I think I'll have to wait to see what happens with the odds. :o

Sportz 25th September 2005 02:08 PM

Sorry guys. :(

I was going to tip you all into Brendan McCoull today at Hobart, but I thought it would look a bit silly simply tipping a jockey. :o

I was confident he'd have a good day today. He's already got 4 winners up, so I'm not sure if he can get any more now. Yomee and Ladeto were my best bets down there.

mad 25th September 2005 03:13 PM

Very quiet on the forum today, what happened you all back west coast or something?

Anywho just in case someone sees this in time i wondering what's the go in the last at sandown...

mad 25th September 2005 03:42 PM

Go with the form, Meneef

mad 25th September 2005 03:45 PM

That's a new one, 2nd.....Last
