*Red Pill ..been on this horse this prep and he's been ultra consistent..likes this track and has the strong rider on board that he needs..has a good barrier..worry in the wet ..
the dangers are Precise Timing whos in such good form..Working class man, Baritone, Cold Start..
if it is wet i'll look at Rampant Lion who loves it and raced well last start...
good trifecta race..

Slow track. Red Pill's scratched. What about your mate Rue The Saint, Mav? You've probably gone off him because of the extreme outside barrier, but I backed him when he won the cup last year paying $33 and guess what barrier he had then. He's got a terrific record at the track. I'm thinking perhaps Precise Timing, Cold Start and Rue The Saint.

Well, seeing I backed Rampant Lion last start, I'll have something on him again while i'm having an arvo beer. It was a solid run, but I was kinda disappointed, but he's consistent & lightly raced. I'll want $6 in that field.

Really wanted to follow up on Magnus at MV tonight but is scratched. Will have something on Byway now.

I'm sure you'll get that.

My TAB cuts me off after Toowoomba race 5. How unthinking and uncaring. Ah, well, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.

Glenn

Gday Glenn

sounds like you need a Betfair account :)

TheAvenger 28th October 2005 12:45 PM

Perhaps so. I don't know whether they have live streaming video like I have on my current TAB.

Thanks,

Glenn

Daylight Saving comes in on Sunday Glenn. That will mean more races for you to bet on for about 4 or 5 months.

You DO get the whole meeting tomorrow, don't you?

TheAvenger 28th October 2005 01:26 PM

Yes, Sportz, we get the entire card on our Friday and Saturday. DST does cease for us on Sat at 2 A.M., Collectively narrows the gap by 2 hours. I can't wait.

Glenn

Sorry Glenn, can't really help you out with any tips today, as I'm only interested in a few races and they're all after your betting finishes I think.

The Toowoomba Cup is a wide open race and I'll probably be looking to back 1 PRECISE TIMING, 4 COLD START & 5 RUE THE SAINT and concentrate any multiples mainly around 1,2,4,5,8.

At Goulburn, I'll be looking to back track specialist Race 7-1 STOUSHMAN if he's reasonable value.

Meanwhile, At Moonee Valley tonight, I quite like Race 2-1 EDDY AND D'POSTMAN & 7 REIGNS OF POWER. They should both be each way value. I think Race 6-3 KING ALFRED will probably win, but he's not likely to be any value at all. And in Race 8, I think 9 MISS DETTORI has a top chance, with 2 OPIO MISS & 1 SWINGING BABE as the main dangers.

Not going to be risking too much money today as it's a big one tomorrow.

Hi Sportz..
My only bet today is Rampant Lion e/w 1x3..
I like Rue the saint..but your right i'm scared of that barrier around here in the wet will have him there somewhere,,..think the toppy is well in even with that weight..
will have Mythological, Baritone and Working class man in the tris ect..always good value if you can jag that roughie..
fingers crossed :)
