It's generally an intellectual battle on the exchange, but sometimes unexpected gifts appear. 1.01 a lap out.

With all my BOT bets now i leave a few $ on at 600-1 in the running.
this was after a few months ago i won 10k on a night when someone set me at $10000 to $10 for UK hurdler that tailed off by 20L at the half way mark.
It then picked itself up and won by a half head.

Last week i get set for 17c at 600-1 - $120 in the account.

99% of the times i lose or don't get set -but when they are taken and they win they are big results.

Just looked at that race, the horse was under the whip 800m out.
Some desperado has taken all the money available down to 1.01 on the theory that 53% of horses leading at the bell go on to win.
Only problem is he got well under the odds by average and the horse was $1.50 at best, anytime in the run.
I expected him to be leading by 20 metres or something off the back, he was never more than 2.5 metres ahead at any point.

Makes you wonder!

Ouch Rocky R2

Mark 16th August 2014 07:32 AM

Penn National R2.
SP's 2.41, 2.88, 5.3, 17.
No prizes for guessing which one won.

That should be enough for the unbelievers.

MVR5, yes.
Go back and search how I make my selections. There was 1 clear selection for this race. No prizes for guessing which horse it was.
