Looks a good day of racing in brissie tomorrow,,,found i had a few favs on top but a winners a winner...cant wait to see Apache Cat race :)

Race 1,,,,One for None rates the highest but i doubt any value,,seems everyones on him..might be looking at under $2.50 ..which is to short for me,,problem is there isnt much here that can beat him,,there doesnt seem much speed in the race so maybe Shamir if he gets some cheap sectionals could be very hard to run down..but its a race i doubt i'll get involved in..

Race 2,,,Masai Pride ??? yes i'm backing the money eater again ...cant help myself...problem is he rates the highest here and quite easily,,,thought Pengelly missed the boat last start and would have learnt a thing or two,,jumps better now so maybe he doesnt have to be so far back..Demolir who should lead the danger..

Race 3,,,Stolit,,,i was alittle dissapointed with him last start but it was a funny track that day...he races fairly forward and puts himself in a good position ..and this is alot easier than latest runs,,,i'm warming to the jockey and doesnt have to do much here to win this..

Race 4,,,Acorns,,,looks the best of the day,,,$2.70 was better than i thought i'd get,,(might get better on track?) hes just a class above these and weighted nicely..

Race 5,,,Sheezvalue,,,,how are they going to catch her with that weight ??? she could take the sit off Babinda or could easily lead him..Shes a flyer and looks a nice value bet,,thought Sectagonal the danger,,you can bet Colless will atleast give him a chance this time...

Race 6,,Legendary Man ,,, This horse is classy,,weighted at only 55.5 he's a huge chance against these,,,forget his run last start on that sticky surface and go on his massive Newmarket run..distance rise isnt a problem and i think hes looking for it these days.....Sir Sensible the danger ,,,Rezone will need a heap of luck,,,October Sky whos looks a million dollars will run well,,might just need 1 more run...

Race 7,,,,a real no bet race for me,,,but who cares,,we get to see a remarkable horse in the flesh and i cant wait to see him race down the doomban straight ...(saw him the other day and thought he'd be taller) ,,,if you are having a go at the race for Quadies ect dont leave out The Jackal,,he finally gets that hard track he needs,,,

Race 8,,, Pepperwood ,,, Looked the winner last start but i think the little break told in the end with condition ,,,also thought Colless could have been alittle more vigorous but the horse seemed to be travelling so well he must of thought he didnt need to get to busy...You can bet he'll be on the ball tomorrow...

R5. Fighting Fund..loves the sting out and this is easier than a group1..carries weight and goes well at the track..(i'll take on Rabuka)

R6. Okay Oky ,,,just given no hope of late,,,should setle closer this time with Nolen on board..Huge last run and ready to win..
R7. Soveriegn Miss,,,Caught the eye last start with the big weight,,,claim and the extra 100m helps,,,put in some good perfomances last campaign against better than this

R7, Stillme,,,deserves a win and gets an easier race here,,,should have won last start and gets in better at the weights..distance suits,,and the wide barrier isnt a prob.

R1, aaaaa Pub,,,i kow its a maiden but i did like the way this horse came home last start,,wobbles around the place but him and Barron would have learnt alot,,distance suits..

R4 Acorns,,,faced the breeze at a good pace and fought on well,,still learning ,,thought feline flyer did well as did youthfull jack,,
R5 Sheezvalue ,,just wasnt any value at all,,was hoping for 6's atleast,,,Would have liked Cory to let babinda go but they both ran each other into the ground..great run by Sequestrate but i thought Daunting Lad should have won..
R6 Legendary Man,,,3rd and couldnt get a run till the last 50m...very unlucky...scattergun will again draw the punters in for next start...
R7 Go Apache..did it the hard way but still the ultimate pro..Swick was a huge run as was Vormista and The Jackal..
R8 Pepper wood ,,to good,,great ride and never a doubt,,,Royal Harmony and Mynewbestfriend worth following..

3 winners in Brisse with 2 specials getting up,,,really needed Pepperwood though as a few loses down south were costly..

R5 Catlist ,,maidener in a better stable nowadays and racing well,,this finally looks his race,,,take better than 3.50

Race 1, I've settled on Go Sequalo , he finished off real nice last start and drops weight , likes the track and distance and a good jock on board and can also run the time neccesary to win this. There looks to be a nice tempo to suit and he should be midfield with some cover. Forestreno is a major query ,,he can fly this horse but hes been off the scene for awhile,,he has trialled nicely but i'm willing to risk him ,,i'm also thinking the inside barrier isnt that great for him as he gets a mile back in the big field..Xaardante was a good run last start but he'll have to work initially and this might take its toll. Telelsecret is in good form and did well to stick on last start and down the bottom Mr Doyle can run a cheeky race,,looked good finishing off last start and a good one for the multis..Cocktail Supreme is going good but the weight might sort him out,,
Go Sequalo over Xaardante..the rest boxed for the exotics..

Race 2 , Cat D"antibes looks a special,,hes improving and looks a horse that can go places..I took the 3.30 and i'm happy with that..Rockwood and Jealous Guy the next best..

RAace 3, ugly race this,,,cant bring myself to back Mitanni and Majorca isnt a weight carrier,,,dont like it..

Race 4 , Heavenly Glow you'd think has it in the bag but this isnt her grand final ,,,i'm not a fan of the after thought so i cant have her at the 3's...i'm looking for the improver and Pentacity fits the bill,,he's going very well and improving with each start,,the distance suits as does the gun jock and nice barrier ,HG needs to be respected ,,a couple for the exotics Laletta , Royal Harmony, Our Valpolicella..

Race 5, This isnt an easy race to assess,,,alot of these come out of a race where the whold field finished in a group,,,the best of them Bareena jumps 4.5 kg's as does Calchris...Chinchilla Rose weighted nicely and did ok last start after racing wide,,Miss Pageantry will appreciate the more forgiving surface at Domben and will improve a stack ..Zipanese is interesting ,,a distance query but she's classy and in good form.....I'm going to stick with Bareena as shes a big mare so the weight won't be to much of a hinderance and the likely tempo will suit her aswell..9's or better.

Race 6 , Atapi looks the standout,,he's flying and the 13's for the straddie looks inviting...I was worried about tempo here but i'm banking on Laura's Charm and Mr Baritone to run along..Hard to Catch with Stewart on board the big danger,,,he knows the horse and that the horse finishes better on the inside or between horses,,from the inside barrier he'll take the short cuts and races well here..these the two and at the prices you can back both..

Race 7, Got on early here with Lasaron,,couldnt help myself at the 21s...loved the way she ran home at the coast,,she looks good and is improving, loves the track n distance and a form jock on board..I'm also on Scenic Shot at 5.50 ,,Colless the master at finding a position and on looks he'll take a stack of improvement from his last run...Eskimo Queen the danger , Spinney and Stormhill for the exotics..

RAce 8, Hard to back against El Cambio after his last run,,,doubt he'll get that tempo here though and he's in the red,,,Heart of The Citi was ridden to close last start and didnt have much luck,,,,thought Mr Unforgettable's run was good last start and he should be in the first few..at the 21's he looks good value e/w..

I value your assessment and comments just a question what was your assessment of Stylish Qualo in the race above. Was the lack of speed in this race part of your assessment and the major reason for leaving this horse out?

I like him better across the road, He'll be a mile back and all though Xaardante will lead i don't see a break neck speed. With 57 kg's i dont think he can run the time especially that last sectional from way back in the field.
just watched Showcitti's maiden win on the video again,,how impressive !! big jump in class with a couple of handy ones also engaged ,i like to see the horse on a bigger track but hes got a big chance today..

Thats what the info also said about stylish Qualo's race but they think that there will be a little more speed on so should get a great price (10 -1 IAS NOW) and worth the chance.
Showciti was impressive and is the real deal so expected to win this race and i have been told to take when ever price i can get.

El Cambio will be almighty hard to beat in the last although look for an improved showing from Barclays at decent odds.

Barclays charged home late to finish 5th or 6th I think. Back it next start!

A shocker for me today out of 11 race i only got 2 results.
Walking or Dancing and Mr Unforgettable.

I was praying for a miracle in the last in Brissie with the protest taking an age to be decided. This would have got me out of trouble. But it just wasnt my day. Will need to study the video and see where i went wrong. Funny how a couple of inches can make such a difference.

A loss of about 50% so i've had worse days but i was fairly confident about a few today..

Race 1,
Lancaster Park the obvious but he does deserve to be. Should get the good run probably 4th on the inside and there doesnt seem to be a heap of speed. He ran a super Kembla Cup and close enough with a bigger weight last start against Synonym. I really want to back Our Jangles as he should be ready now to explode ,this is his trip but he'll be a mile back and giving them a start. Jussemi , Dawns Pride , How Brave fit into the same boat. Lancaster Park will be close to the pace and should be winning.

Race 2,
Acorns can develope into something, Did it the hard way last start but still dug deep when it counted.Youthfull Jack gets his chance with the extra distance but i still think he had his chance last start. Acorns has more improvement and without the blinkers should race handy with cover and settle alot better. I won't take the 2.50 thats around as theres still a query at the distance but if they gamble on track tomorrow i could get close to $3..

Race 3,
Main Vein has a faultless 2nd up record and i didnt mind his last run where he really had no chance with the shocking alley, he hit the line nicely..This is his 1st time at the slightly longer trip and i think hes suited now hes alittle older and more seasoned..hes breeding suggests he can handle it and with Colless to do the steering he looks a good bet. I really wanted to consider Cocktail Supreme whos racing very well but i'm just not sure if Danny can find a spot for him,,
Elegant Roi is interesting ,,should get the gun run in this race and with the claim he's not hopeless..One eyed is another thats racing well but will be a mile back still a great place chance.
Main Vein the way to go but if they are offering nothing i'll consider Elegant Roi e/w, Cocktail Supreme / One eyed for the exotics.

Race 4,
Should i stick with Sectagonal ?? yes i think i will ,,,I love what Bellamy is doing with him,,keeping him fresh and over the dash..(hes a good trainer this bloke) Great jockey change with Colless drawn in the middle so he can choose where he wants to go,,,he no doubt should have won both his latest and if he had he'd be half his quote.
Looks a heap of speed in this with a heap of front runners engaged,,if Sheezavalue who did well last start takes a sit this time she can give this a shake..The two oldies Tornado and Mr Aristos both chances in this type of race and Key Bar Nights a chance but alittle worried about the bar plates and the fact theres going to be pressure up front.. Sectagonal , Tornado Alley / Sheezavalue / Mr Aristos / Key Bar Nights.

Race 5,
Fast Future looks a special here,,,ran a super race beating Like it is and Light Vison last start and looks suited the distance...Fulmonti again in the mix and seems to like the track,,Rezone should be a mile back but with some luck will be charging late.

I want to back against Pepperwood here but i can't,,,He was super last start and even though there doesnt seem much speed in the race he can gather them up pretty quickly and can spint. Moatize looks in the race but he does a few things wrong and the blinkers might fire him up...they atleast should help him race closer and he'll be in it for a long way..Formula One Racer will need luck but will be charging late,,,My Limit is intersting , his run last start was very good and will be in the firing line off the good alley,,one for the mulits

Race 7,
Apache to sit outside and Murtijill or just behind and in a race where they'll roll along at an even tempo ..I can't see them beating him ,,wont get a price but it'll be good to watch..

WoodynBuzz is all the rage and i'm glad i took the $6 yesterday,,,Rapid Jacko can cary weight and off the inside he'll be tough but Woody looks a real good horse,,last start he had to stop and start got smashed and he still picked himself up and attacked the line,,,sign of a good horse

How bad was Lancaster Park ,,didnt like the muddling tempo we have up here in our middle distance races and spat the dummy,,should have been much closer in running anway..
Race 2,
Youthfull Jack just to good,,the blinkers really switched him on ,,thought Acorns really dissapoining and had nothing down the straight..
RAce 3,
Main Vein did ok ,,but just needs to much luck ..

Sectagonal had his chance,,had the good run but couldnt quicken with the weight..Mr Aristos racing very well.
Race 5,
Corey lost the plot here with fast Future,,,missed the boat when they quickened .
Race 6,
Pepperwood just didnt stay,,was always the worry,

Apache to good,,fantastic win,,,Double Dare a good Straddie trial.

Going to be a Wet day in brissie ,,,the good thing about it all is you know its going to be a genuine heavy,,i'll be taking it easy ,,and looking for some value ..,

Hard to go Past Petuchki ,,thought Renmark a chance and seems bred to run in the mud,,and if showcitti is ridden cold he can be flying late..
Race 2,
Mr Baritone is racing well without any luck,,this is easier for him and he'll race forward ..he can carry weight and will give you a great sight,,,Litter is going well and again will love the wet and has 5kgs off the toppy ..Pay Me looked good down the coast and races well here,,,Bainca will be running on and has won in the wet..
A couple i'm not sure about,,Masai Pride in the wet and at 1500m and Roman Squire easily the class but i dont think hes going that well...his track thoughand maybe the cut out of the track will help him..
Race 3,
Scenic Shot should get the nice run but Like It IS will bank them up,,i dont like this race at all,,,Rampant Lion will take off again but it will be harder here at EF ,,,Scenic Shot ridden closer and 5th run in should be peaking..
Race 4,
Mr Unforgettable should again get the good run on the speed,,,not sure about the wet track but the breed usually loves it,,thought they might run Heart of the Citi more aggressively today and this will suit,,Royal Discretion the obvious ,,,Barclays a good chance for the exotics

Fravashi just looks to good...Rockdale maybe a an improver with some luck,,

I took on Heavenly Glow last start as i thought she might have trained off,,but shes classy....i'm still looking for that improver and Miss Maren was very impressive last start and will like the wet...,,Pentacity although outpointed last start is still improving and the wet will help..
RAce 7,
Black Ink with only 55kgs and alittle fresh looks a good bet,,he loves the track and loves the wet..heard he trialled nicely a couple of weeks ago..
Mr Hornblower a big show here,,good run last start and with the light weight will be charging late..Friscos Vision is racing well but cant draw an alley and Easy Rocker will like the sting out..
Race 8,
I loved Diamond Coves last run in an unsuitable race,,likes the distance and a very honest horse,,,Bareena loves the wet and is racing well,,Quizzical Lady was impressive last start but the hard slog through the slosh here in the lat might be to hard for her..Vietnam's stamina might come in handy at the business end ,,the breed should like the wet and has done alot of work since her last start...

RACE 7 Black Ink YES DID TRIAL VERY WELL AND FRESH WILL FLY

R1, Not keen on this race,,,theres no speed and they'll just hack along ,,thought Narredson looks to be the one to lead or very close to it, the one to back if you have to..ran well on the cushion last start and that’s more or less a slow track..

R2, Ready When You Are will be close to the lead and his last run was unbelievable,,had no right to be in the finish after racing very wide the other day...races well at the track and won't mind the track with the sting out..like the exacta here with Our Jangles…, Mr Slick to fill the other place..

R3, Not an easy race this..thought Cloudcatcher with the good run could give Black Minx a run for his money,,,these the only two i like and have backed Cloudcatcher at the 12's,,,,,High Roller will improve here at EF and over the 1200m,,

R4 , Good race ,,,Rapid Jacko , Albert The Fat, Another Takeover , Mr Heartbreaker the ones in my market...I'm a fan of the Fat and he's suited here with the likely good tempo ,,Rapid Jacko should have gone close to winning last start but he'll need the good run again with that weight but nows its slow I think to much of an ask but he does ok in the ground so include him in your exotics...Another takeover will appreciate the track and Mr Heartbreaker made good ground last start and suited here...I'll be on The Fat if i get a price and playing with the exoitcs with these 4,,,i'd add Mufwe , Borshas Mark as place chances..

R5, I want to back Sectagonal but i'm worried he cant let down with the weight and no the slow track won’t help..,,he had every chance last start...Fritz's Princess is a fav of mine but how are they going to get her ready for a 1000m sprint when she must have been trained up for the straddie distance....she's got some class though so she'll be there at the finish...i went looking for some value and found Sir Monashee,,this horse hit the line well last start ,,and loves the track and distance,,he can run the time to win this and off the good barrier he doesnt have to be so far back...i got 26's last night and i'm very happy with that..i’ll also back Fritz’s princess now that the track is slow,,she gets through it really well and with the pace on she’ll have a crack at them late..

R6, Moatize,his run last start was huge,,his run started a mile out and he sustained it till the 50m mark where he peaked,,you can bet Williams will be giving him a better chance and should be winning this ..
Formula One Racer will be running on and the two fillies Riva San and Rathsallagh the dangers..I think with the track at the slow Riva San comes into it even more,,,like the exacta..

R8, ,Paymore is suited here,,loves the track and the freshn is ideal..Chevron Island is another who will race well,,his last run was huge and he's another thats suited here on this track,,Felixtrinidad loves the slow and his run last start was good,,,not sure what I’ll do here but these the 3 to look at,,

really like Viewed in the Cup,,was hesitant to take the 4.20 but hes come in alittle now so i might have done ok..

Race 1, Hy Dream looks well placed here,,hasbeen chasing a smart one og late and this looks easier ,,handles the track and gets the perfect run..I wanted to back How Brave but i'm worried he won't settle again as there doesnt look alot of speed in this..Nikolic a great rider and he'll have to be..Take The Plea a danger...his run was good last start and hes suited this distance and fitter now after the two runs..,,,these the top 3 ,,anything could jag a place in these type of races..

Race 2, Not real keen here,,But Burdikin Blues looks the type with speed that can stay out of trouble and give a good sight down the straight,,the Cardio form is good for this..,,you'd want some odds in a race like this..

Race 3, I wasn't going to have a bet in this,,but all this talk on the radio this morning about Tomcatnaround convinced me otherwise,,so i ahve had a little on spec at the 21's..probably better buying a lotto ticket ..

Race 4, Fravashi just to good but to short,,,shame about the field..

Race 5, FotnWon has been racing really well,,his run in the heavy behind Nuclear sky was massive...and with luck might have won his last start..I'll be on him,,Sir Xaar the only danger ,,at the odds you could back both..Colonial Lass / Legendary Man for the places..

Race 6, Thought Royal Discretion went to early last start and wont make the same mistake again,,TanTatDelago just loved the mud last time and Vandalo looked good also last time out and the extra 200m suits..Horses at odds in this are Cool Duke and Prima Nova ..i'll be playing around with the exotics with these and seeing how the track plays,,if theres no bias i'd think TanTatdelago to good,,,and have something on Cool Duke e/w.

Race 7, I've had a good go at a few here in this,,[B]Viewed 4.20 , King Latarmiss 51 , Sky Biscuit 14..The wet brings King and Sky into it with knockout chances but Viewed looks the winner...Tomnifrancs , Scenic Shot , Luvuleo and Fulmonti for the places..

Race 8, Ugly race,,Catchit in the wet if you have to,,

Glad i stayed home today,,,looks miserable at the track in brissie,,,i see King Latarmiss has come in alot for the cup,,,he just loves the mud ..

Good win in the first at better odds than i thought,,,Burdikn way to good but to short for me,,I'm alittle worried about the inside draw for FortnWon but Cory should be smart enough to get away from it before the turn..

Mav the one worry i have about King Latarmiss is it wet enough for him, I have had a littlt stab at Roman Arch didn't think he was out of what looks to be a fiarly poor race at the $41 available was worth a shot.

I can't believe it. I had the Cup tri. in 3 selections [$300+] but only put on a boxed quin. !!!

Viewed is either really really good or the whole lot of them are really really ordinary that was ridiculos.

Most of them were really really ordinary I reckon. On paper Viewed was the best horse but I didn't think he'd win it that easily considering the conditions.

Viewed just killed them,,,hard to gauge the form the last couple of days with the track like that so it'll be hard work the next couple of weeks,,

Well done to Mr Purser again,,,the cup tri in 3 picks,,,he's on fire...took me a few more picks but i still enjoyed the spoils..

Dissapointed with FortnWon..was really worried about the inside and i thought he'd try and get away from it a bit earlier than he did,,not my fav jockey is Mr Brown..
Watches a great run ..Moggedan the same..both worth following..
didnt back Bexar and Justsaysumthk on that track but both ran nicely and worth keeping an eye on next start..

Not quite Mav. Phil canned Fulmonti [2nd] which wasn't one of his 3 picks [It was one of mine though]. He picked Viewed, Sky Biscuit and Luvalleo for a boxed tri.

Viewed is the best horse potentially in the race and Sky Biscuit and Fulmonti are the best ducks in the race. Viewed is being tipped with gay abandon all over the joint and he’ll start ridiculously short odds, so back Sky Biscuit and Fulmonti each way - and box the three horses in a trifecta.

Luvuleo Won well in Sydney the other day at good odds. His three wins of his 20 start career have been on “good” tracks. Pass. Purser
