At Flemington we had small bets on four horses. The best result was Chiack, a 13 units bet which finished second at $10.00. Total outlay for the four bets was only 68 units. At Randwick we only outlaid 29 units on two horses which missed out.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
At Doomben there were three bets. Athena Mana Mou, $3.20 and a 36 units bet, won. Profit 79 units. Grey Expectations, 15 units and Giacometti, 14 units were both unplaced at $8.00 and $11.00 respectively. We left the Morphettville meeting alone.

On a bad day with just one $3.20 winner from nine bets we only lost 47 units! Now that is what is called smart staking.

There were six bets. Orange County, $12.00; A Country Girl, $11.00 and Desert War, $10.00, all placed.

Five bets missed. The horses in this price range had a particularly poor day.

Some members may have had a few dollars on She Will Be Loved which won at Flemington starting at $21.00.

There were 25 selections for just a $5.50 and $3.20 winner.

Laying horses on a betting exchange
For members interested in laying horses to lose there were some great opportunities based on our price assessments. For example, Elegant Roi started at $2.80. Our assessed odds were $8.00. Danasierra started at $3.20. Our fourth rated horse was priced at $10.00. Danasierra did not make our top eight! It didn't run a place.

Ratings
From 12 races on a very tough day there were only four winners in the top two. The Doomben R7 SuperTab trifecta, which paid $1,018 was in the top five.

There was just one bet for the day. Amerryking, was a $3.80 winner at Caulfield. Staked 29 units, it made a profit of 81 units.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
We outlaid 14 units on Nepro, at $14.00. It missed out at Eagle Farm. Our 24 units bet at Cheltenham, Question Time, also missed.

Value Betting System - Sydney and Melbourne

One bet for one winner, Splashing Out, $5.50 at Caulfield.

Horses priced by us at $6.00 to $8.50:
A great result from our five bets. We priced Mimidae at $6.00. It won at $15.00 at Rosehill. Rockford Bay, $9.50, also ran third at Caulfield.

Horses priced by us at $9.00 and longer odds:
There were three bets. Corton Charlemagne, $15.00 ran second at Caulfield and Oakland Lad, $21.00, finished third at Rosehill.

A tough day. The four bets gave up 82 units.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
At Morphettville, Tonlyn Spirit, a 21 units bet, won with $5.00 available. Profit 84 units. Our two bets at Eagle Farm, Chosen Goddess, $13.00 and Pentup, $7.00, gave back 32 units.

Once again on a tough day our top selections bet for value only gave up 30 units.

There were eight bets for two excellent winners. They were Perfectly Ready, $11.00 and the Caulfield Cup winner, Tawqeet, $17.00. It paid up to $23.10 on the tote. Shanambah, $19.00 and Rightson, $12.00, both finished third.

Myagi, 22 units, ran second at $4.60 and Pentup, 23 units, finished third at $4.80. Rock Of Mufasa, 11 units, was unplaced at $21.00.

A huge day. From 23 selections the winners were the Cox Plate winner, Fields Of Omagh, which paid best tote of $22.00; Flash Trick, which paid best tote of $39.50 and Mr Hornblower, $12.80.

Ratings
From nine races there were five winners in the top two and seven winners in the top four. The R5 Morphettville first four paid $11,538 on SuperTab. Our second rated horse won it. Our fifth rated ran second. Our sixth rated ran third and our eighth rated fourth. Taking our top two to win with the other seven selections for second, third and fourth would cost $420 using one dollar units. So using Flexi Bet a $42 outlay would have returned $1,153.

Please note:
We provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
