We found another fantastic Box Four Trifecta.

But it was an odd day where horses were winning at short odds and other winners were just about impossible to pick. We rated 13 races from Canterbury, Moonee Valley and Doomben for 6 Top 4 Winners.

Lucky Lil's tips
The 3 tips had 2 placings with Total Attraction, $6.50, running second at Moonee Valley. Mon Soleil, $15.00, missed a place at Canterbury. Lucky Lil's lay, Startsmeup won starting at $1.55, so no serious damage for disciplined laying. Last week the lay, Stoneblack finished last starting at $5.00, but the suggested lay odds were about $3.00.

The ratings found a great $795.30 Box Four Trifecta in Moonee Valley R2. Considering there was a $1,316.70 Box Four Trifecta only two weeks earlier members who have been boxing the Top 4 when there is value have been doing brilliantly!!

We rated 13 races from Warwick Farm, Flemington and Eagle Farm for 5 Top 4 Winners on a tough day for punters. There were some good trifecta and first four collects possible.

From 3 tips Storm Burst $4.40 won at Flemington. Soledad $5.00 ran second by a neck at Warwick Farm to Gangster's Choice and Dr Ichi starting at $8.00 ran a close third at Eagle Farm.
Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day Embark started at $3.50 and did the right thing by losing for us.

From 3 tips Tokugawa $5.50 ran a close 3rd. at Moonee Valley and New Beginning $12.00 finished 4th. at Warwick Farm. Dorchester was disappointing starting at $3.60 at Doomben. However, Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take. Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day was Playaction, which started at $4.20 and did the right thing by not winning, finishing out of a place.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
