Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

Lucky Lil gave 4 tips this week. However 2 were scratched. One tip started at massive double figure odds at Eagle Farm and missed a place, while the other tip, Seen, started as $4.60 favourite at Eagle Farm. It was also unplaced. Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day unfortunately won, starting at $2.60.

Lucky Lil gave 4 tips this week. Mishani Warrior, $9.00, won at Doomben, while the other tip at Doomben, Regal Show, started at huge double figure odds. Lucky Lil's tip at Warwick Farm, Adabelle, started at $9.00 and missed a place while Space finished fourth at Caulfield, starting as the $4.20 favourite.

Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day was Mr Lowndes at Morphettville. It ran last. Lucky Lil suggested laying it around $3.50. It started at $4.40.

In Eagle Farm R8 there was a $774.90 First Four (top 5.) The Box Four Trifecta in that race paid $136.10. While in Rosehill R6 there was a $227.40 First Four (top 4.)

In Caulfield R3 there was a $1,306.70 First Four (top 5.) The Trifecta paid $384.40. While in Randwick R3 there was a $930.70 Trifecta (top 5.)

Text'n Hurley won at Caulfield being backed in on track from $3.70. Let's hope members did a little hunting and got $4.00. Means A Lot ran third at Caulfield at good double figure odds, while Onpicalo started at double figure odds and was unplaced at Caulfield. Garozzo started at $4.80 at Doomben and was unplaced. Lucky Lil's Lay of the Day unfortunately won, starting at $3.20.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
