A nice winning start to the month from our strongest bets, the Gold Specials and Top Rated Specials.

Gold Specials - Sydney and Melbourne
There was a total of four bets. Our one bet at Warwick Farm, Doubting, 25 units, won with $4.60 top fluctuation bookmaker odds bet. Profit from that win was 90 units. At Caulfield our three bets for a total outlay of 63 units were all unplaced.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
There was a total outlay on our six bets of 145 units for a return of 216 units for a profit of 71 units. At Doomben Go Sequalo, 38 units, $3.10 won - profit 80 units - as did Sha'bourne Regal, 14 units, with $7.00 top fluctuation bookmaker odds available. Profit 84 units. Mitanni, 26 units, ran second by a short neck with $4.20 bet while King's Way, 17 units, $14.00 was unplaced. At Morphettville our two bets for an outlay of 50 units missed out.

At Sandown our only bet, Brockman's Lass, 44 units, $2.70, finished third. There were no bets at Rosehill due to track downgrades.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
There was just one bet for the day. At Eagle Farm Nexgen, 40 units, $2.90, finished second.

Just one bet at Rosehill. We were very unlucky with Mystery City, $9.50, finishing second by a nose.

Gold Specials - Sydney and Melbourne
Not the best of days. At Rosehill Jazzella, 21 units, $6.50 ran third. At Caulfield four wagers were unplaced. The total outlay on these horses was 83 units.

Top Rated Specials - Brisbane and Adelaide
There was just one wager. At Cheltenham Redance, a 20 units bet, was plunged on track from $5.00 and started at $3.30. It missed a place. So much for the money being right.

Four bets. The best results were Bowhunter, $12.00 and Amerryking, $7.50, which both ran third.

Five bets. The best results were Aunty Betty which started at $13.00 and won at Rosehill and Mondano, $13.00, ran third at Caulfield.

Three bets. We were close to snaring another big winner. Exorbitant, $16.00, finished second at Doomben and Zedazest, $12.00, third at Cheltenham.

Longshot Betting Method
Members following this betting method may have had a few dollars on Slow Waltz, which won at Rosehill with $26.00 freely available at the track.

Poseidon Selections
There were 20 selections. Another big winning day. Odds of the winners with bookmaker/tote odds available: $26.00, $13.00 and $3.40. Once again a winning quinella, with our two selections at Rosehill R9 running first and second. The quinella paid $25.90 on SuperTab.

Ratings
A tough day with many upsets. From 12 races there were five winners in the top four. The $3,821 SuperTab first four, Doomben R5, could have been snared quite cheaply. Our top selection won, the third rated selection ran second and the third and fourth finishers were in the top seven.

The best result was Unswerving, $5.00, which finished third at Doomben. It was a 20 units wager. Our other two bets for the day for an outlay of just 30 units missed a place.

Ratings
More surprise results from out of the blue was the order of the day. From nine races there were five winners in the top four.

Please note:
We provide guidelines to new members on using our betting information for first fours and trifecta betting.

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
