The Sandown Lakeside meeting was abandoned, so we were left with 13 rated races from Rosehill and Eagle Farm for 9 Top 4 Winners. The highlight was another big winning day for Lucky Lil.

Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

After Sandown Lakeside was abandoned Lucky Lil was left with 2 tips for a fantastic winner - Belle De Coeur, $9.50. The Lay of the Day, Cradle Me, started at $5.50 and did not win. However, with Lucky Lil suggesting it should be a Lay around $3.50, at odds of $5.50 it was definitely NOT a lay.

We left alone the Ipswich meeting and rated 12 races from Rosehill and Moonee Valley for just 5 Top 4 Winners. Maybe we should have left them alone as well!

Lucky Lil's Tips
Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

The best of Lucky Lil's 2 tips was Tackleberry, $6.00, which ran third at Moonee Valley. The Lay of the Day, Markout, started at very poor odds as the $2.70 favourite and was unplaced, so Lucky Lil's followers won again.

The ratings hit back!

After Randwick was abandoned from R4 we were left with 13 rated races from Randwick, Flemington and Eagle Farm for 13 Top 4 Winners, including some value. There was also another great Box 4 First Four and Lucky Lil won again!

Trifectas, First Fours etc.
In Eagle Farm R8 there was a $1,022.60 First Four (top 4.) There was also a $143.60 First Four (top 4) in Eagle Farm R3.

Lucky Lil's Tips
Lucky Lil is not looking for horses at short odds and whenever a horse is below $4.00 it is below the minimum odds Lucky Lil would take.

Following a scratching at Randwick Lucky Lil was left with 2 tips and once again Lucky Lil won. Red Tracer $4.80 won at Eagle Farm. The other tip, Lord Durante, $4.60, placed at Flemington.

The Lay of the Day was Discreet around $2.80 at Eagle Farm.The tip was given on Thursday when there was a field of 16. Following numerous scratchings, including some winning chances, there was just a field of 8 on Saturday. Discreet started as $2.40 favourite and won. Clearly with half the field scratched, including winning chances, the circumstances had dramatically changed since the tip was given.

There was not much action at all this week.

The Rosehill meeting was abandoned and we left alone the Sunshine Coast racing. So we ended up with just 5 rated races from Moonee Valley. From this small sample there were 2 Top 4 Winners, with the best winner being Black 'n' Tough at $4.60.

Lucky Lil had 2 tips scratched as well as the Lay of the Day, and was just left with one tip. It was at double figure odds and missed a place.

In Moonee Valley R5 the ratings found a $285.80 trifecta (top 5.)

Please note:

In our newsletters here we have at times indicated how some first fours and trifectas could have been obtained. However on racedays some judgement and skill are needed for this.

For example the same betting method will not work each race, such as boxing selections, or taking the top horse as a standout to win. Some races will also need to be avoided because the odds are not there.

Even with good information playing trifectas and first fours is not a licence to print money. Intelligent use of the information and a lot of discipline is required.

While there can be substantial collects for relatively small outlays there can also be long runs of outs with various betting methods used.
