Cox Plate Day All Too Hard: This 3YO colt, the Caulfield Guineas winner, trained by Michael, Wayne & John Hawkes, ridden by Chris Munce and owned by Nathan Tinkler, started at $9.00 in the Cox Plate. All Too Hard put in a massive run in the Cox Plate, running the tough Moonee Valley 2040 metres race out strongly and finishing second to Ocean Park, but very significantly, nearly All Too Hard was nearly 4 lengths ahead of third, the Gai Waterhouse trained 3YO colt, Pierro. Caulfield Cup Day Honorius: Americain: This 8YO French horse trained by Alain de Royer Dupre and ridden by Gerald Mosse ran on well to finish fourth in the Caulfield Cup. As a 6YO it won the 2010 Melbourne Cup and was a very unlucky fourth in last year's Melbourne Cup. This Caulfield Cup run has the entire spot on for the Melbourne Cup. Champion jockey Damien Oliver has been given the prized Melbourne Cup mount following the surprise sacking of French jockey Gerald Mosse.
