Make Money Betting Horses
Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.
Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Sandown Lakeside
Sophrosyne:
Shortly after the start At The Heads shifted out and hampered Sophrosyne. Then later in the race Sophrosyne was badly held up in the straight. In spite of this the gelding finished second by a long neck to At The Heads. Punters who took the $18.00 on Sophrosyne must be cursing their bad luck. After two runs in from a spell, this 3YO gelding will be fit and ready to win next start.
Sol Brillante:
This 4YO gelding , which started at $13.00, suffered some significant interference in running 100 metres after the start. Despite that he finished third, only one length from the winner, Zedi Knight. Also second up from a spell, Sol Brillante will also be fit and ready to win next start. If you're that lucky, $13.00 will be great odds next start!
Dane The Rave:
In the same race as Sol Brillante, Dane The Rave resumed from a spell of four and a half months. This 5YO gelding, at the entrance to the straight when being steadied off the heels of Ready To Please, shifted out and made heavy contact with Anteros. Then at the 300 Dane The Rave had to again be steadied when tightened for room between Anteros and Ready To Please. Despite this bad luck Dane The Rave finished less than two lengths from the winner. In a suitable race, don't let this gelding get under your guard.
