Rosehill
Wrong Call:
This promising 2YO colt had no luck at his first start. Three weeks later at Rosehill leading jockey Corey Brown had the ride instead of Larry Cassidy. Wrong Call was the subject of a betting plunge from $4.20 to $3.00. It was the right call, with the colt looking impressive and winning by two lengths.
Sandown Hillside
Canary Islands:
Canary Islands fetched $105,000 at the Magic Millions Sale. Having his first race start, the Damien Oliver, jockey, and Lee Freedman, trainer, combination delivered another successful betting plunge. Canary Islands was heavily supported from $7.00 to $5.00. After the race Lee Freedman said that Canary Islands is one of the Stable's better two year olds.
Eagle Farm
Vicarage Gate:
Scott Seamer was given the ride and this 2YO colt was expected to win at his first start. However Vicarage Gate had a tough ride from barrier eight in the field of nine and did well to finish a close third.
Encierro:
This is a classy 3YO colt. Coming back in distance from a win over 1200 metres, he finished strongly to win over 1000 metres. That was his fifth from 10 starts.
Victoria Park
Undoubtedly:
Big things are planned by trainer Mark Kavanagh for this smart 2YO colt. Undoubtedly was an impressive first start winner in Listed company in the slick time for a 2YO of 56.51 seconds for the 1000 metres.
