Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.
Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Anwaar:
Starting from barrier 13 in the field of 13, this promising 4YO gelding ran on well and finished a nice second to the plunge winner, Pekalan. Anwar has the excellent strike rate of five wins and two placings from just eight starts.
Caulfield
Green Birdie:
Brian Jenkins could have a pretty smart 2YO colt on his hands. Green Birdie won the Blue Sapphire Classic by nearly three lengths.
Luminary:
Graeme Rogerson's 3YO filly returned from a spell with an impressive third behind Call Me Archie and Hanna Rossa. Luminary was at big double figure odds. On that run you'll be lucky to get those odds about her next start.
