Paul Perry's 4YO gelding, starting at $8.50, ran a nice, close second to Alberton Park. That was Stratana's third run in from a spell. Stratana has a very good strike rate - 5 wins, 3 seconds and 3 thirds from just 13 starts. Now at peak fitness, Stratana should be ready to win next start.

Volkhere:
Ignore the poor run of Volkhere, which raced very wide throughout. The Robert Heathcote Stable has a very high opinion of this 3YO gelding. It came into Saturday's race never having missed a place in its 4 races and with 2 wins and 1 second in its 3 races this campaign.
