Make Money Betting Horses

Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.

Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest horses to be added to our Horse Watch list.

Flemington

Livia:
This 3YO filly started at $11.00 in the 3YO Fillies Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes run over 1600 metres. Entering the home straight Livia was badly held up for clear running. Then near the 200 jockey Chris Symons tried to get a run between between Preventable and Mont Fleuri. Livia got checked as there was insufficient room.  Chris Symons then changed course on Livia towards the inside at the 150 looking for a run. Livia finished fourth, only 1.2 lengths behind the winner, Majestic Music. With luck in running Livia could well have won.

Baughurst:
Don't ignore this 8YO gelding after his run in the $500,000 Group 1 Turnbull Stakes over 2000 metres. Baughurst was badly held up in the straight when Predatory Pricer ridden by Dwayne Dunn hung out under pressure when not fully clear of Baughurst. The stewards reprimanded Dunn for failing to straighten Predatory Pricer. Sent out at $71.00 Baughurst finished sixth, only two lengths behind the winner, Efficient. Baughurst is clearly capable of surprising most punters by placing or winning a big race at massive odds.

Cocinero:
Now here's another bolter for you. In the $250,000 Group 2 Gilgai Stakes run over 1200 metres, near the 200 Cocinero was badly checked and became unbalanced after the 4YO gelding Eagle Falls shifted out when not clear of Cocinero. Brad Rawiller, the jockey of Eagle Falls, was suspended as a result of this incident. Cocinero finished ninth, just 3.5 lengths behind the winner, All Silent.
