First up over 1400 metres and starting at $26.00 this 2YO David Payne trained gelding gave some cheek when finishing second to the short priced favourite Do You Think in 2YO Group 3 company . On that run Cocky Raider is worth following.

Whitlam:
This Peter Snowden trained 2YO colt was first up over 1000 metres at Moonee Valley in its second race start. Starting at $9.00 with the bookmakers it ran a much improved race and was beaten less than a length by Cash Bound.

Hearts'n'Diamonds:
This promising Jason McLachlan trained 3YO filly was first up over 1200 metres. Sent out at $15.00, she ran a nice second, beaten a half head by the Robert Heathcote trained $3.20 favourite, 3YO gelding Excellantes. On that run Hearts'n'diamonds is one to watch in the approaching Brisbane racing carnival.
