Make Money Betting Horses
Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.
Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.
Rosehill
Something Anything:
Gary Portelli's 2YO gelding was plunged from $8.00 to $5.50 in the bookies' betting ring at Rosehill and just failed to win, finishing second by a short neck to Kooka. Something Anything has not finished further back than third in his four starts. He looks a certainty to win one soon.
Walk Alone:
Another plunge horse that just missed out. Trained by John Hawkes and ridden by Darren Beadman, second up this lightly raced 4YO mare was backed in from $5.00 to start at $3.70. From fourteenth of 17 at the 400 she unleashed a strong run and only went down by a half head to the $51.00 bolter, Keltic Flash.
Flemington
Our Apache:
Second up, this former Sydney horse, now trained at Rye by Lee Freedman, ran a great second to Chitabe in a heat of the Winter Championship. That run has put the writing on the wall for a win next start.
Maybe Better:
Returning from a spell of nine months, Brian Mayfield-Smith's smart 3YO colt was solidly supported from $3.60 to $3.30 favourite. He ran a strong race over the Flemington 1400, finishing second by a length to Speedy Rossa, but defeating the next finisher, Marjour, by 2.5 lengths.
Maybe Better has now started five times and has never been out of a place, including placings in Black Type races in August and September last year. Big things are expected of Maybe Better this time in.
