Make Money Betting Horses
Many astute punters use a simple horse racing betting system to back plenty of winners at excellent odds, as well as successfully betting trifectas, first fours, doubles etc. They simply note the key runs of a few select horses each week and black book them. Then betting smart, they follow them.
Each week we will give some runs worth noting by horses from Saturday's racing. Keep a record of the horses, bet smart and you too could back some big winners.

Here are the latest runners to be added to our Horse Watch list.
Rosehill
October Son:
This 4YO John Hawkes trained gelding returned from a spell over 1300 metres and finished a solid fourth, missing a place by a head. He will be fitter for the run. It is the first time October Son has missed a place. He has the excellent record of four wins, three seconds and a third from just nine races.
Desert War:
Resuming from a spell in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes over 1400 metres, this Gai Waterhouse trained 5YO gelding was sent out at $21.00. He ran a strong third behind Ike's dream and Shania Dane. Don't forget Desert War won the Group 1 Epsom Handicap when last in work at $15.00 and finished a close up fourth to Lad Of Manor in the time honoured Group 1 Weight for Age classic, the Mackinnon Stakes, run at Flemington on the Saturday before the Melbourne Cup.
Caulfield
Joie More:
Our video analyst liked the first up run of this Lee Freedman trained filly. She finished the race off well for an excellent second behind Melrose Gardens.
Miss Finland:
The David Hayes trained filly was seen making up good ground to finish second to another David Hayes trained runner, Nadeem, in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes.
