Here are the latest runners to be added
to our Horse Watch list.
Randwick
Nevis:
She missed the start by three lengths, raced greenly, ran out wide in the straight and covered lengths more than the rest of the field. Despite that she was able to beat the colts on sheer ability over the Randwick 1800 metres. Is she an Oaks filly?
One In A Million:
Darren Beadman had no luck on this outstanding John O'Shea trained 3YO filly. When finally clear she flew home for second, the best of good things beaten in the Group 2 Light Fingers Stakes. She looks a certain Group 1 winner.
Flemington
Real Cro:
On the rain affected track this Leon Corstens trained 3YO filly put in a huge, eye catching run. With natural improvement she is a guaranteed city winner.
Queen Of The Hill:
What an impressive first start by this well bred Lee Freedman trained 2YO filly. She looked under a tight rein and won with plenty in hand. She could have won by eight lengths if let go.
Eagle Farm
Champion Star:
This 4YO gelding is racing in top form. He won well. That gives him the outstanding record of five wins and five placings from 11 starts.
Morphettville
Wild Hero:
Having his first start, this Mark Minervini trained 3YO gelding was the subject of a big betting plunge. He was backed in from $7.00 to start at $3.20. After missing the start in the 1050 metres sprint, jockey Chris Bryant pushed Wild Hero forward to settle midfield, then hooked four wide round the home turn to get a run. Wild Hero didn't let his backers down. It was an impressive win. Wild Hero is well above average.
