4/11/2003 edition Melbourne Cup Tips How does your Cup horse rate? Pentastic No5 Pentastic drops 4.5kg. for the Cup and looks an outstanding show. County Tyrone No6 County Tyrone doesn't appear to be up to the class of a number of runners in the field. However the gelding is a genuine stayer and will get the distance. It's just whether he gets it fast enough. His recent form is nothing to rave about, but he did finish second to Piachay in the Brisbane Cup run over 3200 metres in June this year. That run and the start before he finished ahead of Grey Song, who is running in the Cup. Holy Orders No7 This Irish 7YO gelding's two wins over the distance have been in hurdles. His form appears very ordinary compared to others in the race. The gelding has become well known for his refusal to gallop in trackwork here. That is hardly the preparation needed for a Melbourne Cup. You wonder how he'll react to a 100,000 plus crowd. Mr. Prudent No8 Mr. Prudent finished a strong second in last year's Melbourne Cup. This evergreen gelding is going as well as ever. Racefit after six runs this campaign, he is sure to be given every chance by leading jockey, Damien Oliver. There's no reason why he can't figure in the finish again. No nine year old has won the Melbourne Cup, but then again, how many nine year olds have started in the race?
